Turnovers are the great equalizer in football. Ole Miss has won the turnover battle 8-1 the last two games. Yet Bama still almost won both games.

Yep and we fumbled kick returns in both games as well. Nothing like giving them the ball back in scoring position.

I've posted this in multiple threads, but it needs to be said over and over again - 24 of their 43 points last year came off drives that started inside the Alabama 35 and another 7 came off the helmet bounce.

If Bama avoids the turnover battle, this game should not be in doubt at the end.

Big if, I think. True freshman playing his first road game against a solid defensive line in a hostile environment. Ole Miss' defensive philosophy is disruption, and while their back end isn't great, they will do all they can to make things look waaaaay too fast for Jalen. With our offensive line still figuring things out I just hope we don't give away any points, because that could be the difference.

I would bet on us coming ahead in the turnover battle. Kelly himself despite having the experience edge is still erratic with his decision making (16 ints in 15 games) which was on full display against FSU.

I went to Oxford in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009. I experienced it enough. Don't expect to go back for a long time.

Conner won't be 100% healthy, not sure about anyone else.

Conner was the reason FSU came back so quickly. He couldn't cover a thing and he could barely move.

If he is out there we should target him.

Agreed.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ridley and Stewart both have 100 yard games this weekend. I know that sounds a bit foolish, but they both have looked so athletically superior to the defenders so far, its kind of scary. They are freaks.

The corner that got hurt against FSU (Webster) is gone for at least a year and over on the Ole Miss board they are saying Conner had fluid drained from his knee.

They have pretty serious issues with depth in the secondary right now.

Nick Saban asked if he and Lane Kiffin got into any arguments on the sideline: "There were no arguments, those are called arse-chewings."

It is strange how people get some much joy from that incident.

Agreed.

Well, not so much joy, as much as why are people even making it a story? Hard arse bosses chew their employees out from time to time. It happens.

It's not like Saban has never done this to anyone else, everyone else just happens to be in the booth. Kiffin had to have known that he would run the risk of this when choosing to coach on the sidelines.

I think folks were expecting to see this every week when the Kiffin hire was initially announced. Whats funny is during the 2014 season, we saw Kiffin accurately call his shot more than we saw Saban melt on him. The whole Kiffin/Saban dynamic confused and intrigued people.

Let them have their moment as most have come to accept that this is the swan song for this dynamic duo.

As someone posted on twitter - Saban and Kiffin have a very up front, matter of fact relationship. That is MUCH better than the alternative, which is sniping at eachother behind eachother's back about things.

This one wasn't even that bad IMO. When I saw Foster running across the formation I thought to myself, "what the hell is this shite?" Before I finished the thought, the shite show had started. The timing of that call was just mystifying.

My favorite Saban on Kiffin assault was when Saban yelled at him after that beautiful TD pass to Cooper against Auburn That one was worth some discussion.

Thanks, I thought I remembered a starting DB getting driven off the field. Must have been Webster.
