Honestly, I think this is the best thing that could have happened before the next week.

1) We showed nothing to Ole Miss they didnt' already know
2) We proved we can stop a passing attack
3) We won by a good amount of points.
4) No injuries

If we blew them out (by a lot more), I'd be a LOT more concerned. Saban is going to get on them BAD next week... something they need.

We left at least 20-30 points on the field and I would be scared of that if I were an opponent.

This game, and result (good and bad) were much needed. Saban will be spewing fire all week. Hopefully, the team leaders will do the same.

I think you guys (and Saban) might be over selling it a little bit. Was he completely pleased? No, but he never is. He was going to be all over the team's arse this week regardless of the outcome of this game. We've lost to Ole Miss two years in a row and nobody is more upset about that than Nick himself.

If I'm not mistaken, a Saban team hasn't lost three consecutive years to the same team since Drew Brees and the Purdue Boilermakers. Saban wants this game and if we lose it won't be because Saban didn't do a good enough job preparing the team.

This may indeed have been a good thing.

That notwithstanding, I can't think of another Saban-coached team that played so sloppy.

What I take away from that? We are going to rain fire from hell on Ole Miss next week

.... and it will be glorious as we clinically take them apart and the air will be rife with the lamentation of their women!!!

I don't know how well the offense will play, but this defense will leave nothing but blood and bones on the field.

No doubt. Defense will do their job. I think if we can put 3 tds on the board it will be enough.

Nobody uses the media to get a point across to his team better than Saban.

I hope so, but I remember hearing all of these same things last year, even down to the "Saban doesn't lose to the same team twice in a row" stuff.
