My solution is to schedule the LSU Florida game for the same day as the SECCG. If either of these teams has a chance to still win their division, push the championship game back a week.
Screw the selection committee. they can hold off a week, if necessary.

We are talking about a fanbase...2015 Missouri notwithstanding...that has elevated victimhood to an art form.

since the LSU athletic department chose tp play USA at home, than to reschedule the game the 19th,tells me they already know LSU isn't getting anywhere close to Atlanta. They decided to keep the home game instead. Right decision for them this year. The only potential victim to not playing this could be UT.I honestly think UT is about to drop the next two games. I swear the LSU battlecry has become

I had almost forgotten how pompous and arrogant the LSU fanbase was
It's been a while since they've been relevant

Personally, I place this fiasco at the feet of a weak commissioner. Sankey sat on the sidelines too long and is now trying to be a leader.

Game should be played at whatever financial cost. However, Sankey's failure to lead is now going to cost the Conference millions of dollars. Why? Because Florida manipulated the situation and weak leadership at the conference level.

Give Florida the credit. They played this well. They will play LSU and will most likely be healthier when they do get to play...all the while Sankey is paying everybody for their troubles.

You must not have read the OP.

I asked what you would want OUR administration to do if faced with a similar situation.

LSU doesn't want it moved to Nov 19th because it would create a murderers row at the back end of their schedule. After their open date oct 29, they would have Bama, then at Arkansas, then at Florida, then A&M 5 days later on Thanksgiving unless that game were backed off till that Saturday. So they would have to, in effect, move 2 games and drop USA and play a killer stretch to make this happen. You can see why they balked at it.

Maybe the LSU plan is to set up Coach O for a murderer's row schedule. The last thing LSU needs is the fan base uniting behind a Coonass who has proven himself to be incompetent.

Yes you do. The fans don't think it would be fair to make LSU play 3 road games in 11 days with Thankgiving stuck in the middle. It would be a tough stretch for any team. I do agree that if it was play the 3 game stretch and have a shot at a conference title or don't play the game and have no shot that I would want to play the comferece game. But for you to say you don't understand why LSU fans question it? Come on, man.

Maybe the conference should move the SEC Championship Game back a week. It would run concurrent with the Army-Navy game so it wouldn't be too late.

There are a lot of events that go along with that event you would have to move back as well. Would all the event space like the World Congress Center be available? What about final exams? UA, LSU, and UT all finals the week after the SECCG. Do we really need players taking finals the same week they are preparing for a game?
