Either Tua wins the job in the spring and Hurts likely transfers or Hurts wins the job and Tua transfers.

I don’t see Tua riding the pine another year while watching Hurts make costly mistakes. I also don’t see Hurts sticking around to be the backup to the guy that beat him out.

If Tua transfers he goes to UCLA.

It’s going to suck seeing Tua go to UCLA and be all-Pac12 while we are stuck with a fricking lame duck.

We’d also lose out on baby Tua, in essence screwing ourselves at QB both present and future.

And he can go to UCLA and not win jack lol. Geez man ...I'd lose respect for him if he went There.

Or he could stay here, ride the pine, and also not win jack.

I'd put my bet on us before I would UCLA pal. Do u really wanna compare them and us? I get it...U hate JH and want him gone. You've made your point

All I’m saying is it doesn’t matter if Tua goes to UCLA and doesn’t win shite because if he decides to ride his career out as 2nd fiddle to Hurts here, he still won’t win shite, so what difference does it make?

I think our chances are good at winning a national title with either as our starter...Or both. Our coach has earned the benefit of doubt because we re in the hunt every yr.

What have you seen that makes you think Hurts is a championship caliber QB.

what difference does it make to be in the hunt but come home with zero hardware?

My fault. I didn't know his name either. Why do they have the same name?

But he must be great to lead my sorry arse alma matta to 10-0. Warriors have sucks since Nichols left.

Some say he’s even better than his brother FWIW.

If Hurts is smart, he'd stick around and learn a position at which he may have a chance (I said a chance) of making an NFL team roster. Maybe rb or wr. Maybe db, except I am not sure he's fast enough for that, though if he had good enough instinct and technique it would be doable in college.

Hurts isn't going to transfer - he has the athletic ability and skill set to make it to the NFL - just probably not as a starting qb. Saban is the best man to help him achieve that.

Hurts might make a decent H back type... sort of like Smelly. An NFL team might carry him on a roster just to have an emergency 3rd string qb that could also serve as a backup receiver.
