I would smoke cigarettes out the window of my at-the-time girlfriend's apartment on of the top few stories of rose tower. she had a roommate for like 6 weeks then just had a double to herself for the rest of the year.

I ended up with a key to the roof hatch. Many nights drinking and smoking on the roof.

When I was a freshman, you could smoke in the rooms at Rose. The housing application even asked if you wanted smoking or non-smoking roommates. The university banned smoking inside campus buildings the very next year, 1991.

Well see, I broke no campus policies because I was hanging out the window OUTSIDE the room.

not a lot of quality CBs in the portal so far. Cormani McClain is listed as the best available. Tacario Davis is next, then som e guy from Rutgers, and the Johnson guy from western Kentucky. Of those, id take Davis and Johnson, but it think Davis has the do not contact thing going on. McClain im sure is very talented but maybe not worth the drama, plus not really experienced. We have a bunch of highly touted young Dbs, just not a lot of experience. too bad we couldnt get that Muhammed guy to come from washington back in january

We need quality, but we could also probably use an average player with experience just for depth.

I think we're sitting at three freshmen and a junior who can play corner. and they have a combined 11 starts.

The SoCal transfer seems like a perfect Richard Sherman type big corner you can play on boundary in many defenses.

Alabama needs someone at field corner who can hold up in man coverage with more route possibilities for the receiver without getting perpetually cooked.

Kid named Ed Woods just entered the portal from Arizona State. We are supposedly in the mix.

He was their best player in the secondary according to some reports. 247 eval:

quote:

H.S. Scouting Report
EVALUATED 10/11/2019

PROJECTION
4-7 Round
DAY 3

REMINDS US OF
William Jackson
PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Plays with physicality and loves to press. Boasts strong ball skills, ability to track the ball, get his head around and make a play on it while avoiding grabbing the receiver. Good at diagnosing plays and reading the quarterback. Good not great speed, but consistently recovers and shows fluid hips and a smooth backpedal. Projects as multi-year Power 5 starter and projects as third day pick or undrafted free agent.

This is why Amos leaving pissed me off almost as much as Downs. Dude played lights out against UGA coming in for Arnold.

Maybe we'll luck out and the pass rush will be a surprising strength and take some stress off the DB's.

Unfortunately, Jalen Hale will be out for the entire regular season but could come back during the playoff. That's what they said during A-DAY.

I thought I heard that too. Alabama needs another WR-X body type. I see Williams as more of a Z in college. Bernard is probably a Z or slot. Prentice and Law are slot.

Odom could develop into that guy but it would be a lot better to have someone with proven production coming into the season.

McClain is a 24K head case and not worth the trouble. HOWEVER, I guarantee you some school will roll the dice by signing him, hoping he “keeps it together” long enough to produce on the field for 1-2 years before he does something crazy like robs a bank and gets caught selling crack to 5 year olds.

I don’t understand Bama pursuing such a mediocre safety like Ed Woods from Arizona State. I guess CKD sees something but to the casual observer, pursuing this guy is a head scratcher when there are more talented DBs out there.
