Im not sure they were calling him Good Bo and Bad Bo at that point in 2012/13. Probably just Bad Bo. Also i had in mind Stephen Garcia when i said it "seems like" the good one always shows up. Not meaning Bo, but the good version of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde QB facing Bama.

I think they are more focused and motivated leading up to the Bama game and prepare more which is why they tend to be more efficient in that outing vs others.

You're right, our secondary and pass rush are better this year than that of 2013.

But
-our secondary is the weakest link of our D
-Knights probably better now than he was in '13. At the very least, that sugar bowl shows what he's capable of when he's on.
-this TAMU team looks better than that '13 Oklahoma team.

So, I'm just saying I can see him beating us with his arm. It could happen. I'm not saying it's the most likely outcome. But it's certainly not far fetched.

Knight is better yet he was replaced as starter? He had a career day against us and hasn't had one since. He is a 50 something percent passer. He lobs the ball and let's his talented receivers make plays. If our corners don't play jump ball sure it will be a tough day.

We will give up yards and some points to TAMU. Streaky QB's always seem to have a hot game against us for some reason. And we can't deny that the two good passing QB's we've played this year have put up 400 plus yards in the air against us. That's a concern.

Hopefully we are improving but I expect Knight to throw for 300+. If we can take away their run game and Knight's scrambling, it won't matter but this game makes me nervous.

I hear ya, and I think that is reasonable.

But,

Knight hasn't played a better game in his career than he did against us in 2013. Is he better now? It's hard to say that he is better than what he showed in that game. In fact, going by his career arc, he has been consistently worse since his performance in that game.

On your second point: it is asinine to say that this TAMU team looks better than that 11-2 Oklahoma team that won the Sugar Bowl. The Bama team that they beat, as uninspired as they might have been, was a really, really good, very close to great, team.

Now, I'm not saying that Knight isn't dangerous. He is, obviously, and I know that is what you are trying to say.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I am pretty confident in this year's secondary against him.

He has only thrown over 300 yards once this year, and it was against Prairie View.

Maybe you are right, but I certainly do not expect him to throw for over 300.

Knight has passed and rushed for more yds than Hurts, and he's done it again st tougher competition.

I know his completion percentage is low but he can play ball.

Against tougher competition? Barely.

And its not surprising that a senior QB has played better than a true freshman QB. I'm not arguing that Hurts is going to dominate against TAMU. Not with his arm at least. I do think that he might go for close to a 150 yards on the ground on TAMU.

No doubt, I pointed out in my last post that he is a dangerous player.

Alabama has played two similar opponents: Arky and Tennessee.

One A&M beat equally as bad, the other A&M narrowly escaped at home.

USC>UCLA
Ole Miss> Auburn
Kentucky> South Carolina

No, Aggies actually have not played a tougher schedule.

I disagree

And you played a shell of a Tennessee team compared to what we faced.

Tennessee's roster was depleted, but I highly doubt that would have slimmed the margin of victory by much. Losing 49-10 in your own stadium doesn't solely fall on being plagued with injuries.

Not like any of this matters anyways. Transitive property doesn't work in CFB.

Same here. Feel like this game has been super analyzed in every way possible. Sportscenter has a few segments this morning about it.

All in all, I think it will be a good game. Anytime you get a team coming off a bye and mentally prepared, it usually is. A&M has a better way of attacking defenses and keeping them on their heels than some will give them credit for. However, Alabama is on another level defensively in terms of talent. And with that, they're aggressive and disciplined. I think Sumlim will attack them with short throws and get Alabama to bite in before going deep.

Got my ticket to the game also

I think schedules have been virtually even. I think the way Bama has navigated a similar schedule has been more dominant and impressive but none of that matters come 3:30 Saturday afternoon. This will by FAR be the most difficult game either team has played to date and perhaps will be the toughest game all year for either.

We'll lose by 40 then. It's not a strength for us and you'll pick 6 us silly.

Our only chance is long balls mixed with Williams and Knight running.

I had no idea that Knight wasn't good on short throws. Despite Alabama's turnovers, you can have some success on short quick throws. You just can't rely on it the entire game like some teams try to do. What happens is some teams try to do it so often, then try to hit the deep ball and it turns out to be a slow developing play, which Alabama more often than not gets a sack or turnover.

Fast, deep balls down the sideline is our bread and butter and our receivers are fit for it.

I'm far from an expert at evaluating QBs, but I trust Gary Danielson and his ability to. I remember very clearly watching the aTm/UT game him talking about how Knight is far from a polished passer. How he can make a good throw, then will have a couple that make you scratch your head. If he does this, I'm confident in Bama's ability to stretch the NOT string to another game.
