If you think the Alabama team that showed up today will be the same one that will show up next week, well you just don't have that much faith then.

I'm not really worried about the excitement level of most of the team, better playcalling, etc. I'm concerned about Coker's shaky confidence, our o-line's matchup against a very good D-line, our lack of ability to kick a FG, and our struggles against the quick short middle passing game that Ole Miss should be able to run effectively. It's a bad mix in this game

Not worried one bit, Bama will win by at least 2 touchdowns. Kelly isn't going to know what hit him come Saturday, 2-3 turnovers and Bama runs the ball down Ole Miss's throat. 31-14 Bama.

Can't speak for anyone else but I felt the Mississippi game was a likely loss coming into the season. First two games haven't done much to sway my opinion either way.

But as I posted previously I'm certainly not giving up on the season I just don't think we match up well with them right now.

Also why am I the only one in this topic with multiple downvotes ?

Remember in 2012 Alabama opened up with a beat down of Michigan with their all-world offensive line, then the next week gave up 6 sacks to Western Kentucky? Relax peeps.

I agree with most everybody in this thread. I see this as a bad matchup for Bama. I think the secondary is much improved but we're breaking in two freshman in their first SEC game against probably the best QB they will face all year in the regular season.

I would much more worried if this game was in Oxford. A night game in BDS where Bama is 49-3 since 08 and Kelly's first SEC road game, not worried. Teams could run up the middle on Ole Miss last year and that is what Bama will do this year. Bama had complete control of the game last year and running the ball at will until Kelly went down.
Ole Miss is not a deep team, they have a lot of top end talent. If Lane sticks with the run game, the Ole Miss D will be tired by the 4th quarter. See the 13 Ole Miss game, Bama wore them out late in that game and started to gash them running the ball.
Lane does not need to get fancy with the game plan. It seems like Bama has been trying to keep Henry fresh the last two games and I'm guessing it is for this game. Expect for Henry to run the ball 30 plus times in this game.

I think we have a chance for sure, but I'm nervous. Of all the teams to lose to in the West, at least Ole Miss isn't so bad. Their fans tend to be courteous. It's one of the lesser evils, like TAMU.

Nervous for sure. I am hoping the coaching staff is coming up with an game plan that we haven't seen to stop OM. There run game is suspect, so hoping we get heavy dose of Evans and Williams

I'm guessing you didn't go to Oxford last year. Everyone was losing their shite. I had a Mississippi State Trooper flick me off. A frickING COP! You had men in their 40's and 50's all dressed up and acting obnoxious. I wasn't even that bummed that we lost, with all the shite that was going on. They put Auburn to shame when they rushed the field. They even took down their own goal post, and some kid had to be sent to the hospital.

It was truly a crazy sight to behold.

I can't help but think we're still holding back some things.

I have a feeling Drake and Howard both have a lot of plays we haven't seen yet.
