Cyrus at DB adds depth, but I don't think we see Hart and Ch. Jones stay there. Probably just experimenting.

Cyrus Jones new number is 5

Pagan, Ivory, Stinson was the 1st string DL
LaMichael Fanning, Darren Lake and Xzavier Dickson was 2nd string DL in rotations

Chase commented on how Fanning lost some weight and had his shirt tucked under pads and looked extremely cut, he said his stomach look like a S

Chase also talked about how athletic Jai Miller was & looked, said like a bball player, like Dre Kirkpatrick did, but taller & bigger (said if Dre was a 2 guard, Jai would be a SF)

Also said Vogler packed on some pounds and seems to have outgrown Hback

I think NS chose today for spring ball so we could forget the chit fest known as Bama Basketball. NS being all knowing knew that we would be NIT bound today after the loss and he is giving all BAma fans hope because FB rules.

I always associate a position change like this a sign that the player hasn't panned out.

Have we had a player switch from O to D and get drafted, or stand out?

You also have to consider the amount of talent currently on campus at almost all positions. Coming out of HS, we knew Cyrus could contribute on either side of the ball. We are much deeper at WR right now, so it makes sense to move him to a position with a tad bit more daylight...

Also, we are only a season into his career, so its way too early to say he didn't pan out.

Another interesting observation he made was the comparison of Bama's OL drills with Mario akin to a "chinese fire drill" said no reading on depth at all lol

I don't know Chase has a way with words he did put a post that they will FOR SURE have to film him running some drills since he is a high energy guy

but what I assume he means is that Mario was moving guys around so much that it was hard to get a read on 1st string 2nd string etc

Sounds like our usual system ramped up a little bit. Our 2nd string last year got a decent number of reps IIRC.

I like that two deep on the DL. Dickson and Pagan sliding inside to rush on passing downs would be great too.

I'm just hoping and praying TO GOD Ryan Kelly is as good as I've heard since Barrett is easily the toughest we need to replace IMO and it wasn't as much his skill as his leadership

Also Shepard I've heard has a real shot to move his way up and we need him to compete with Leon Brown to find the right replacement for Big Fluke

Saban says Kevin Norwood and John Fulton (toe) questionable for entire spring, but should be good for summer.

I came.

I don't think we've had a better two deep at that position since....well....forever.

Saban disappointed in how team responded to success before offseason program. "We did not respond as well as we would have liked."

Henry looks like a taller Trent. Hope he plays that way. Coaches already working with him on running lower.

Damn I feel bad for Dee Hart. He should transfer somewhere that would give him a chance to play RB.
