At least we are in. 29-26 and 12-18 in the SEC. Bad year all around, but maybe we can steal a couple games in the SEC tourney and make a regional.

We open the tournament Tuesday at 9:30 am against six seed Ole Miss. Win that and we play three seed aTm Wednesday at 9:30. Lose and we're eliminated.

All games can be seen on the SEC Network. Although we lost two of three to Vandy, we kept it close and we've won seven of our last ten. We're playing our best baseball since March, but it would take getting to Saturday to make it to a regional.

5-1 Bama

Had we been playing the way we have the last two weeks all year, Gaspard would have support. We're finishing strong. Who knows, maybe we can finally find success in Hoover like the old days.

6-1 Bama, bases loaded, still batting in the top of the 7th. We've batted around.

Ole Miss has gone to their closer, who has given up a hit and hit a batter.

6-1 Alabama, FINAL

Alabama plays three seed aTm tomorrow morning at 9:30. It's never fun to go one and done, so this is nice. Bramblett's performance today is huge. A complete game and a rested bullpen for tomorrow.

we are on a roll. who is our starter for tomorrow. Gillbeau?

Coach on post game said probably Walters since he had a short outing on game 2 Vs Vandy on Friday. He should be rested.

We are not a fun team to watch. Baseball isn't the most entertaining sport as is, but we swing at everything and strike out way too much. I like Phillips and understand we've hit our share of triples and doubles, but it's not hard to see why we don't have success. It's either feast or famine.

We need the other team to make mistakes if we have any chance against a quality opponent.

ETA: Long struck out the side. Even at 100 pitches, we're making him look more dominant than he is. Seems we've done that against every major league caliber pitcher we've faced this year.

4-3 aTm, bottom of the 8th

It seems any time we have early success, we shut down the rest of the game. First inning run against Vandy, zero hits the final eight innings. Three runs in the first three today, and we go quietly the remainder of the game.

I'm ready for this season to end.

I'm riled and venting, but has Alabama had a walk off this year? I know we were road team, but I can't think of a clutch moment where we rallied in extra innings or won it on a last at bat. That's my biggest problem with Gaspard minus his lack of a resume since taking over - his teams fail to finish.

I don't remember seeing one. I remember seeing a few meltdowns.

Playing Mizzou tomorrow in the elimination game. Hope for a victory.

Sad when 2-1 feels like an insurmountable lead.

Lead off man on, you have one of your leading strike out guys hit into a double play instead of moving the tying run over. Then you have the next man up attempt a bunt with two down? Oh, he struck out instead.
