Same here, very talented team in areas. The defensive backfield has to get better, much better if we want to be elite.

I am not mad just disappointed because we could still be playing on the 12th. Now did we get lucky to make it this far maybe.

No, nor did I think the season after one or two championship caliber teams was a rebuilding season. I know we're spoiled as hell, but when you have the best coach and supposedly the best players (how many straight #1 classes?) you should expect to beat everyone every year, not get skulldrug by a 3rd string QB on a team with more youth than us.

This team going 12-2 is exponentially better than last year's going 11-2. Overachievers.

Predicted two losses preseason, got two losses. It was a rebuilding year and we made the playoffs.

I really liked this team (love Blake, even when he fricked up), but we really need to stop with this rebuilding narrative.

My sentiments exactly.
I predicted a 3 loss season, so although, yes, I am disappointed I am ok.
Besides our loss gives the corn dogs some joy, and they have so little

They're pitiful. I too predicted a 3 loss season.

Not mad. Disappointed and kind of annoyed we didn't play our best. Coaching dropped the ball on top of the players not playing with spunk and some mean streak. Anyway, good season to being a lesser talented team.

Playing younger guys needs to be something Saban changes. Disappointed in his stubbornness in personnel and in game coaching adjustments. Big plays will be the death of us always

Saved me some money on going to Dallas to see the Ducks win it all

I liked this team too, but before this season I had us losing two games. Before the season I thought it'd be a rebuilding year. There is no new narrative, that is what was predicted.

Fact is we didn't have a championship OL. We didn't have a championship QB. We didn't have a championship secondary.

Love all those guys, but we just didn't have it this year. We were still a top team, but we overachieved.

When Tyler Love was rated 5 stars and then Chance Warmack was rated 3 stars, that should have caused you to forever be skeptical about recruiting class rankings. There's probably not a dime's worth of difference between the top ten classes.

And as far as that "3rd string QB" is concerned, that guy is absolutely a freak of nature.

Truth! That team, last year, should have been way better than they were.

I ain't even mad either. We did overachieve. But if you had told me our defense would give up all these yards and big plays, I would have told you to pound sand.

The line is good, the LBs and secondary are way off.

The offense was effective, if too finesse oriented for my tastes.

But yes it was a good year. I'm sure everyone thinks we're melting, but we're not. It is what it is.

Proud of this team but ready to forget them. Exceeded expectation by a mile and over achieved ... They have my respect for that.

But I'm ready for another mean defense ... A hateful bunch to win another. If they don't no worries.. Roll tide antways

This right here. I like Sims as a person and player but I said it earlier in the season that if we had to rely on him to carry the team we would not be in Dallas. And I am not trying to disrespect him because I believe he overachieved all season. Maybe one of the hardest workers on the field. The oline was very subpar and the DBs were very inconsistent.

I think it was a shitting the bed on all four fronts. It happens.

Special teams:
Christion Jones's many miscues
Mo Smith's taunting penalty (moved them up 15 yds, they end up scoring)

Offense:
Sims costly interceptions.
White dropping the ball.
Offensive line being offensive.

Defense:
3rd and Smart. Need I say more?

Coaching:
Run the damn ball Lane Nussmeier.
Personnel groupings on defense.

On the other hand, you have to give credit where it's due.

We were outcoached. Urban Meyer had himself a hell of a game with only one real questionable call (going deep instead of running). We were out-schemed by both their OC and DC. Their special teams were decent as well. Their team played physical and reminded me of previous Bama teams. I wish we could get back to that.

I'm not mad, or even disappointed, with the way the season went. I am disappointed in last night's performance. We got out coached in every facet of the game, and that shouldn't happen in a game of that magnitude. We also got out executed on both sides of the ball for most of the night. But all you can do is tip your hat to the opposition and move on.
