The game was good. It was strange watching a game and thinking "we got this".

The biggest difference from last year after watching the past few games is how calm the team stays down the stretch. With 3 minutes left in the game, it was still very much up for grabs and they never panicked, never waivered, stuck to their assignments and gritted it out. Same for Saturday in Gainesville. Retin and Arthur foul out, and everyone on the floor just digs a little deeper and does their job. That's a sign of fantastic coaching and instilling belief in your players.

100% spot on. With Grant, we would've lost by 10+.

been a long time since I have seen a Bama baketball team play that confidently on the road, down the stretch.

i am also getting in the habit of thinking that we will get the lead back soon whenever we are down by 6+. Everytime we make a charge back and get the lead. makes basketball so much fun to watch.

CAJ is made for college ball and i am sure he is loving the success.

With Grant, it was the opposite. We would find ways to lose when the pressure started to mount. No matter if its business or sports, teams/people take on the personality of their leader. Our team now doesn't crumble at crunch time. They believe in themselves. That's coaching. Pressure busts pipes.

Avery Johnson is incredible. He's turned around Bama Basketball in half a season. I knew he could do it but in my wildest dreams I never even considered a trip to the Dance. Avery really is the perfect fit for the college game and his personality is a perfect fit for Alabama.
