Maybe I'm ignorant or out of date, but what the heck is a "trigger warning"?

If you served, then you should know first hand there's no place for racial difference because it sets people apart and pits them against each other.

What do you win? How about an award for being an asshat. An asshat because you choose to propagate race baiting. Along with the notion that the racial inequality espoused by the entitled idiots in Missouri are nothing more than bigots seeking a cultural break down in order to pit people against each other to gain power.

Race only matters to a racist. Without a racial tag you and I are no different than one another. With a racial tag you and I are placed in opposition of each other. Race only matters to a racist. Try not to be so dense that you can't image a society where race doesn't matter.

Nobody is saying that it shouldn't be allowed.

We are trying to understand the point of it all.

I'm saying they're attention-seeking liars.

They have a right to their speech. Me too.

Same thing happened with Pedos. It's not like since the 90s there's been an explosion of pedophilia, but we hear about it a lot more because we have grown less tolerant to it. Used to people would sweep it under the rug, now they yell and scream (and hopefully make arrests) about it.

Yeah, I remember back in '89 how openly proud people were of being pedophiles.

Regardless of all the race stuff, I think the abject stupidity of this comment must be highlighted. What the hell are you talking about? Pedophilia has been openly despised and a felony throughout the civilized world for centuries.

You know full well that the first amendment is gone on college campuses and in the professional world. You can be expelled or fired for saying the wrong thing. That guy at Ole Miss who put a noose around the Meredith statue is in prison now, even though that technically should be protected by the first amendment. I find it upsetting how people only invoke that amendment to protect speech which they find agreeable.

Seems to me that Bell is trying to be proactive so the same thing doesn't happen at Alabama.

You seem to be more comfortable calling names than having a civil debate, Trump voter? You also seem to act as though your service makes you a champion of free speech while quashing and attempting to shout over dissenting views. Trump voter? I simply support the idea that conversation is the least disastrous road to change but then again I am not a blowhard who thinks I know everything. So as you sit safely behind your keyboard slinging childish insults you need to remember that all Americans deserve to have a voice. Thanks for your service, I am sure you were awesome (sarcasm)!

You're the one the came out of the gate firing, I just finished it.

Dude, you are absolutely pathetic. What kind of straw man are you trying to build. I haven't voted for anyone. Nor does my support for one candidate or another have anything to do with you being a racist and supporting other racists.

Listen real close Corky, my service along with the service of others allows you to be a racist and speak your mind. It also allows me to call you the racist pig I see you as. You and that goofy hooker at Missouri would get along great since she too wants to squash the 1st Amendment if she doesn't like what she hears.

You need to remind yourself and your bigoted friends that same message.

quote:

Thanks for your service... (sarcasm)!

I can assure you I don't need the thanks from the like of you. You're a disgrace. Since race matter to you won't mind being called a racist pig.

The same thing won't happen anywhere. Now that the protestors are complaining about Paris taking the spotlight from their "struggle," people are being forced to call the spotlight whoring racists at Mizzou what they are.

Results from Bell's meeting with the SGA President via an email sent from the university:
quote:

November 18, 2015 – University of Alabama President Stuart R. Bell announced today that he has directed the university’s Strategic Planning Council to include the addition of a central diversity officer and the development of a new diversity plan as part of its work. He has also charged two senior administrators with assessing UA’s current diversity initiatives.

Bell said he has met with numerous groups of students, faculty and staff over the last 10 days to listen and learn about UA’s efforts related to diversity and inclusion.

“While we are doing some good things, there is much work to be done to ensure a welcoming and inclusive campus where students from all backgrounds feel they belong and can be successful. With that goal in mind, I have asked Interim Provost Kevin Whitaker and Vice President for Student Affairs David Grady to review the programs we have in place, make sure they are immediately accessible to everyone on our campus and properly communicated,” said Bell. “I am also asking the Strategic Planning Council to take a comprehensive view of diversity, equity and inclusion as we create a vision for what The University of Alabama should be going forward.”

During the strategic planning process, Bell said it will be imperative that there be broad conversations across campus to capture ideas as part of the process.

The Strategic Planning Council will begin meeting December 9. Bell, who was named UA’s president in July 2015, announced in October the university was launching its strategic planning process.

“Recent events around the nation have shed light on the need for greater inclusion and diversity at all colleges and universities,” said Bell. “This requires that we look at our universities and ourselves with a new lens, examining past practices and renewing our continued commitment to equality and inclusion for everyone.”

How is this fixing racism, when you're only allowing a safe place for students of color at the Ferg?

White is a color

Seriously though, what the frick? The proposal would be frowned upon if it were a place where only white people could hang out. How is this not also racism?

It is racism. That list of demands is ridiculous.
