Just my 2 cents:

1. Sell out to stop the run-unlike last year when the Vols seemed to throw the ball 50 times a game, they seem determined to run it most of the time. If Bama can limit their rushing, I think the Vols are in trouble. Joe Milton is NOT Hooker.

2. Absolutely MUST get Proctor some help. Not bashing Proctor. He's trying but he simply cannot handle an effective speed rush guy. Personally, I'd line a TE up with him every single snap and at a minimum, have that TE chip block their guy to give Proctor a semblance of a chance.

3. No boneheaded penalties. I know this is a rivalry game and there's always a lot of jawing going on but our guys HAVE to keep their composure.

4. Milroe cannot make a lot of dumb throws or INTs. He has to play well. Not necessarily pass for 400 yards but be effective. Gotta give the devil his due, he is improving but can't have a 3rd quarter like last week.

5. Must play solid defense. No sloppy tackling, no losing contain, no busted coverages. Must be hustling for all 4 quarters and no letting off the gas.

If they can do that, I'm certain Bama wins this.

Same thing they’re planning to do against us - make the QB beat you with his arm.

Just don’t turn the ball over. Milton sucks. They shouldn’t move the ball much. If Milroe takes care of the ball, should be ok.

Win the turnover margin.

Limit the run without having to creep a safety down.

No 40+ yard explosives given up.

3 or less 3-and-outs. Offense must get 1-2 first downs even on drives that end in a punt to maintain field position.

Have a normal amount of penalties and don't do anything stupid on special teams.

We do that, we win.

If we slow down their VERY efficient run game, I think we can get Milton to absolutely crumble. They wouldn’t score more than 20

The crowd needs to be dialed to 12, make slUT players and fans wonder if they are going to get out alive. If we can make this an uncomfortable environment that is huge - look at what Florida did.

Tennessee scored one TD against TAMU on offense and it was on a drive that was helped by a 15 yard roughing the passing penalty on 3rd down.

A lot of Tennessee's successful runs were either cutbacks where the initial play was stopped and they were able to get yards on the backside or on draws where the defense expected a pass.

This is their second away game of the year, the other was a blowout loss to Florida.

I believe the biggest key will be to score more points than they do.

I'll come back later and brag about how I was right about everything I said in the Keys to beating Tennessee-opinions thread.

Because of this team's unpredictability in terms of one series being fantastic and the next a goat roping, the only key to victory I have is score more points than UT.

I think the key will be stopping the run withOUT having to "sell out" to do it. Obviously the safeties need to be ready and willing to provide run support but if we can stop the run with the front 7/base run defense it will REALLY cause problems for Tennessee. I don't want to give Milton a freebie on an explosive play because we are consistently in man/single safety coverage. I know he hasn't been good this year, but he still has an arm and UT still has receivers that can burn you. But if we can play straight up and stop the run AND keep our safeties in coverage then I'll feel really good about this game.

Funnily enough Milroe could be Hooker-lite for them. QB friendly offense that takes a lot of deep shots

One thing that has helped during saban’s better defenses (pre Golding) are corners that stand their ground and make tackles. I hate seeing receivers to the run side running verticles down the sideline and our corners follow them 20 or 30 yards down field with their backs turned by the time we realize it’s a run and they have to come so far back to the los for run support. Shed those blocks and stop them short of the first down.

I think it'll be one of those sigh of relief wins we have been accustomed to this year. I hope the crowd comes in fired up after how they acted after beating us.

Looking for O-line to obviously protect Milroe and not get 20,000 false start penalties.

I hope Burton comes out with intensity he had against A&M but can also keep his composure.

Defense needs turnovers, I feel very confident in them.

frick Tennessee.

Milroe was born in 2002 while Hooker was born in 1998. I wonder how good Milroe would look if he were in his mid 20s instead of still not being old enough to buy alcohol.

We have got to get the run game going. I'm so tired of seeing the current, weird rotation that we have going on. I really hope we see 22 and 26 get at least 2 full series each in the first half tomorrow.

Being able to rush for even 4 ypc consistently would help this offense out so much.

Just like Hooker, Milton arrived at UT as an upperclassman with a ton of experience. Neither were QBs to be over the moon about at that point. One improved massively while the other hasnt to this point

I choose to sunshine pump and believe that we aren’t looking at the final Milroe product.

Don't turn the ball over. That's it. At worst be -1 in turnover margin.

1. Penalties
2. Limit our own 3 and outs
