You forgot where JPW didn't have to deal with Kiffin being a total jackass of an OC

John Parker was much more comfortable running the offense than Clucker. Do you think Jacob could lead that Arkansas comeback/throw? Also he threw a lot of successful completions and tds under Shula's passing offense.

I actually do. He almost led us back against OM. That is where the pop pass killed us. Coker gave us some momentum and OM took it away on that play.

Coker had 5 perfectly thrown passes dropped tonight. He played great except the int. Should have benn 22 of 31 for about 250, 3tds

I am shocked at the vitriol directed at Coker. He is not as bad as some of y'all are trying to claim. Our OC is magnitudes more of a problem than our QB. Magnitudes.

Coker is fine.

He actually had a good second half.

Some of you should eat your keyboards.

Wrong....
Henry 54 rushes for 370 yards 6.9 YPC.
Drake 27 carries for 150 yards 5.6 YPC

We get a 2nd and 5 and try to pass, a 40 yard out and turn it up, when we should be running or running a bootleg that drags the TE out where we have the run pass option with the QB and TE vs. a LB.

Four games and we have 131 passes!! Not Bama Football, especially with a first year starter and a new WR group.

Coker is Spencer Pennington.

JPW was a pretty decent QB with shaky decision making sometimes.

JPW actually played (as a 3rd stringer) in the NFL for awhile.

He can't throw an accurate ball more than 20 yards downfield. He has done it once in 4 games.

If you think "Coker is fine", then you have really low expectations.

It's not vitriol. It's facts. He is incapable of throwing an accurate ball further than 20 yards. I don't even know how you can argue with that. I hope to god he proves us wrong next week, but from what I saw yesterday, it will be tough to score points on Saturday.

Because of how he called a game against fricking LaMo? He was calling to see how we executed. We should have been able spin a game show wheel of random plays and execute and dominate them with whatever it stopped on.

It doesn't help the QB when the receivers are getting no separation downfield.

The WRs may still have a chance if he could put it within 10 yards of them. Everything longer than 20 yards is basically a punt.

Saban said in his post game presser that we played very close to the vest and conservatively and it was by design. At risk of sounding like a sunshine pumper, I expect our offense to be more effective and creative next week, and for Coker to make some some bigger plays.

You guys blaming all this on Coker is laughable. I'm far from his biggest supporter but this isn't all on him. The situational play calling was a joke. Whether by design or not it was a joke.

With the exception of Mulanney and the now sidelined Foster our receiver play is pathetic. Steward can't catch the flu, Black was over-rated. Sims seems to be returning to form and Ridley is progressing nicely but as a group they're terrible.

JPW had an OC that was willing to play to our strengths, Jake doesn't have that luxury.

I don't think Jake has any strengths.

I'm not " blaming" anyone for anything. I'm just stating the fact that Coker has difficulty throwing downfield which will make it tough to move the ball consistently against good defenses.

I'm not even saying that we can't win the rest of our games with Coker, because I think we can, but these games against good teams will probably be roller coasters. But hey, those are the kind of games that make watching football fun and I am absolutely excited about Saturday.

Spencer Pennington disagrees.

Coker showed improvement this past game against ULM vs the OM game.

Coker has a strong arm and the game is starting to slow down some for him.
Made some good throws and has good velocity. Also several passes were dropped including a TD had the WR extended his arms instead of short arming the ball.
