Yeah I read where someone was saying we shouldn't expect too much from EJ. Even after a player is medically cleared and "100%" after an ACL injury, many times they don't play at their pre-injury level until the next year.

@CecilHurt: Saban on SEC call: Eddie Jackson will play "in some kind of way" in UA secondary this weekend.

@Andrew_Gribble: Saban says CB Eddie Jackson's responded well to reps in practice this week and will play Saturday in some fashion.

Was it ever confirmed it was his ACL?

Everything I read said it was a torn ACL, but I guess that doesn't necessarily make it true:

To my knowledge the specific type and extent of Jacksons injury was never released. At that time Saban said he would be back this fall which for him to say that back then it had to be one of the lesser types or extent of injury. Having said all that I have to wonder how effective he will be. I guess we will just have to see how he reacts to live contact.

On the subject of Florida's offense I think it's safe to assume we will see at least some HUNH from every team we play. Hopefully in time all of this cheap gimmicky high school crap will become an old hat to us and we will stomp it into a dirty mud hole.

Probably a good thing some of the lesser talented teams are running HUNH against us because Bama is perceived to be weak against it. Maybe the extra practice against it will just get us better prepared for teams that actually run it well like A&M and Auburn.

Based on what I saw Saturday, CNS was unwilling to get beat deep. Was willing to give up the shorter plays over the deep hits.

That may be true, but I believe the key to beating a HUNH is stacking the line, closing off all running lanes and having your DB's sit on all the short stuff. That takes away the first 10 yards of the field for the offense which is where HUNH thrives. Sure, you may give up a deep ball or two but I'd almost rather do that than have these methodical 13 play drives from HUNH teams where the dink and dunk down the field. Basically, whatever LSU did the last two years against TAMU, that's what we need to be doing.
