There is a reason Tua isn't starting, he makes a lot of freshman mistakes that were very apparent in the offseason. I'm glad he played well against a skull drug Vandy. Better than Hurts? as in Foster, Ridley, and Bo had dropped passes for serious yards and 2 touchdowns. Sorry I'm not buying it, Tua did some good things but is far and away the number 2 guy, it's Jalen's team until he releases the position himself.

We were running well when Tua came in, too, but he also exhibited a good passing game, better than Hurts did in the same game, vs the same defense, and he did it mostly with the 2nd string. His pocket presence was also better.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I think Tua is a better pure passer than Jalen.

I also think Jalen is a better starting quarterback for our team at this time, for multiple reasons. What's more, it's obvious the coaches, including Saban, agree with me, not you.

Why this continues to be a point of contention for anyone is beyond me. I'd like to believe that after 10 years at Alabama, most of our fans would admit Coach Saban seems to know what he's doing, and how to win games.

After a 59-0 win on the road in the SEC, I'm honestly flabbergasted that people are dissecting things to this level.

One thing I am glad Nick has changed is the mop up time with the back up QBs. It used to be when they'd come in (usually less than 4 minutes left in a game long decided) they'd just hand off. Not much value to that.
He's letting Tua run the offense. With a dynamic runner like JH that could get dinged up, I'm glad to see meaningful reps for the back up.
