Terry Saban suggested this. It was considered but too difficult to maintain. Elephants have a tendency to run amok when faced with loud noises.

Haven't looked at Elephants the same since I watched " An Apology to Elephants"...

Truly amazing creatures, they're highly social and intelligent. They've been documented to revisit graves of deceased herd members and even bury/cover their bodies.

Edit: and I don't think they belong in Tuscaloosa.

I have to agree. The coolness doesn't justify the potential harm to the elephant.
They are amazing creatures and don't belong in captivity.

Didn't they already do a study on this and found out its not recommended.

I think it would be awesome if the high fenced Snow-Hinton with bars and put a lot of elephants in the pin so that is what you saw coming onto campus. The Auburn vet school would take care of them for us. We could have a rotation set up with Auburn for their vet students to rotate through Tuscaloosa, it would work.
