Why hadn't LSU already offered a scholarship to him? I mean if someone is good enough for your rival, I'd offer him, too.
But you've got to admit that O is setting himself up to be run over by Saban. I don't think Saban likes to have something like this happen to him.

It is pretty simple.
LSU fans are utterly and completely obsessed with Alabama. We've become their white whale and they just hired a LSU super fan for a head coach.
Expect a lot more of his decisions to be driven by whatever happens in Tuscaloosa. They are headed for The days of Mike Archer.

Sure, it could be the Kiffin connection, but it could also be that O stated clearly that he wants to move to the RPO/Spread. Kid is the #1 dual-threat QB out there this year.

Their #1 QB target just got an offer OKst and seemed pretty happy about it. This may blow up in LSU's face.

Couldn't have said it better myself...it's like their entire future is based on Alabama. They want Kiffin or Sark or they think 100% they're getting Tua now since you know..they offered him. They don't realize Dec 10th he'll already be enrolled at Alabama. Tua's family said that offer does nothing for their son and are 100% committed to Alabama.

I laughed this morning because of these so called experts. Tom Luginbill the top national recruiting analysts for ESPN was talking about Tua on College Sports Radion with GMac and said he believes Tua will take it all the way to the end up to NSD in February. Expert in his field but yet failed to know that Tua is an EE. Someone pointed it out on twitter and his response was fine then December like he was mad.

Luginbill used to know his business pretty well. Then he got fat and sassy when ESPN hired him as their recruiting guru. Now he doesn't know shite about recruiting and neither does ESPN because of him. The worldwide leader fricked up and 24/7 and Scout are kicking their arse.

That's putting it mildly.
Of course they are busy convincing themselves that Tua is coming to LSU. Just like they convinced themselves Ogeron was a great hire.
