quote:Oh come on. That sounds very Tidefans-ish. I have no problem with us refusing to let him fight on campus, but us just ignoring his request is a bit of a story.
I think you get my point though. AU rarely has to deal with this kind of BS. Alabama deals with it on a regular basis.

I know it does sound just like a post straight from Tider Insider but I do buy into the theory that media takes a different approach to Alabama than they do Auburn. No doubt Scarbinsky knows that an article that criticizes Saban/UA will get a lot more page views than a positive one. Everyone wants be the next Finebaum.
Look at it this way, if Alabama had lost 4 of it's last 5 games with the only win coming against Samford, how would this offseason be going for us right now? I rarely go full "Bammer," and the state media isn't out to get us, I just think they have different approaches for both schools. Anyway, sorry my comment derailed this thread. Didn't intend for that.

Deontay is asked about fighting at Coleman in the future:
6:30 mark
Basically he says it's a possibility and there are no hard feelings but you can tell it really bothered him.

Would be nice to see a boxing are a be built. Probably not downtown, but maybe on Jack Warner if it isn't a flood zone. Hell the amphitheater is there.

Hardly ever read al.com. I just searched Wilder's fight on google and that came up. Scarbs tends to lean towards AU. An injury to each team is a good example. Say an AU DE gets injured, the title would read-" AU DE injured, gives backup chance to shine". With Bama it would read: " Bama player injured, Saban looking for replacement".
