Texas lathering these guys up with NIL BS about their media market "opportunities"

All this crap is making me want to retire from college football too. They've truly killed the game. I know the younger people that grew up with every dickhead flashing money on social media think it's just a natural progression of "getting theirs"...but big picture it's destroying what made college football. Now the NFL looks stable by comparison.

The OP is wrong but isn’t man enough to admit he’s wrong. Just admit it. We’d have a lot more respect for you.

The mental image of DeBoer just ignoring a missed call from Bond is funny though.

The dude got a Lamborghini. Is this really sustainable that teams with rich alumni can just buy the best players on every team every season? Id have offered Downs the Lambo instead of Bonds

I’m praising Deboer.. I don’t blame him! If Bonds is in Austin Texas, I don’t blame Coach for not calling him back..

His foot is already out the door

My guess is that the car is a lease. Bond probably doesn't own the car.

That's the smart way to play it for the business...keep the ability to take the car back at any time.

That's the same I heard. Bond didn't respond.

Looks like OP misread the information we all read (got it backwards) and, instead of just owning the mistake (not a big deal, we all make them) he decided to double down on his mistake and claim that he was told this by someone “in the program” even though it makes absolutely no sense. That about sum it up?

If Bond or any other player doesn’t want to be there, then they need to go. I don’t care who the coach is, as a fan, I want players that love the Crimson Tide. Not just when they are making money from wearing the uniform.

650 yards, 4 tds. Good player. Not exactly devastating loss.

Go get Ryan Williams.

Isiah should come by my place in Tuscaloosa and let me get behind the wheel once. He's gotta pack his shite anyway.

1. Okay, start by signing a bunch of kids from Alabama instead of all over the country. When you sign a 5 star from Los Angeles over a four star from Tuscaloosa, you invite less passion for a school. Don't take any portal players either because they originally signed somewhere else.

2. No one loves a school as much as they do money and opportunity. Ask the engineering students at Alabama if Auburn asked them to transfer there and it would result in doubling their lifetime earnings if they would do it. You can bet your arse they would.

If you want ambitious college kids with loads of opportunities ahead of them to love a school and turn down better opportunities to stay, you're gonna be disappointed. But similarly, if a loyal but mediocre player who signed with Alabama expects to not get replaced by a mercenary in the portal, he is going to be disappointed too.

It works both ways.

They’re likely leasing them out in some sort of way that the dealer can write it off as a marketing expense for his business. The money comes from somewhere but probably doesn’t involve spending a quarter to half million dollars on each Lambo.
