Don't think Grant is going anywhere.

Bruce Pearl.

Still has another year on his show-cause, correct?

Not to mention the fact that Pearl has too much trouble keeping Little Brucie tucked away. Alabama has had more than enough experience with coaches who couldn't keep it zipped up. Bill Battle didn't get to where he is by being stupid.

Alabama doesn't need this woman setting up shop on The Strip.

The Minnesota job is a step back, look at the history of the two programs.

Yeah let's hope our coach leaves which would set our program back even further.

There we go equating our basketball program to our football program. Awesome.

There's a big difference between getting shitcanned and leaving. Shula oversaw a bad program. Grant is overseeing a mediocre program. There is in fact a difference. Do I think we can do better than Grant? Yes. At the same time though, it's never good to have your coach hired away. We aren't a complete dumpster fire, and if Grant were to leave in a couple of weeks, we'd probably lose Hale and maybe lose Taylor. Plus some of the underclassmen would end up transferring. It would really frick up the program for a while. Firing him next year if he fails to get us to the tournament wouldn't be nearly as damaging.

my opinion is that AG is not the answer and if he wants to leave them god speed. Wimp was a long time assistant and he took Bama to new heights. I think BB (bill battle) would find Bama a great new BB coach who is creative and would fire up the fan base. Right now there is no enthusiasm from the fan base and I put that squarely on AG

By hoping for Grant to be hired away, you are hoping the most promising year of Alabama basketball in years goes to complete shite. Hale would be gone, Sina would rid us from consideration, and Pollard would transfer at the very least (probably more with only 3 in-state players on the roster). You're hoping for a shite-storm.

Is AG the answer long term or is he the answer for next year's potential?
