I'd put the chances of that happening at 25%. The kid is too skilled and has a ridiculous work ethic. I see people keep bringing up that he's too small to get drafted high as a freshman. He may be just 6'2, but he makes up for it with a very impressive 6'7.5" wingspan and tremendous athleticism.

Big Bird and I disagree. As of late December the coaches were planning on him staying 2 years. If he goes off and has an amazing season then they will re-assess. There are so many variables to make an accurate projection but I'd put chances of him staying more than 1 year at 60-70%.

I'm not sure if he's THAT good. But I do remember CAJ saying in his first press conference that Alabama needs a few one and done's like Kentucky gets. He even referenced it in his presser last night after the NIT loss, regarding the Okafor kid at Duke that made all the difference for them.

If Sexton is a 1 and done lottery pick, then that will be just fine with me. Means he probably had a great season and would help put Bama on the map as a viable destination for elite talent. What would be disappointing is if he is a 1 and done second round pick because he wasn't quite ready.

DraftExpress (probably the most relevant of the mock draft sites) has him as the 7th best prospect in the 2018 draft. Based on his confidence and work ethic, I see him as one of the top recruits that's most likely to be successful at translating his game to the next level.
If he's already gone from a relative no name to a top 10 recruit in less than 1 year, who's to say that meteoric rise won't continue? Since the EYBL season, he's been the best HS player in the country. You'd be hard pressed to find a recruiting analyst that could successfully argue against it from a numbers standpoint.

I love this kid, everything about him. Alabama football may just be something I watch to get through until basketball season this year

Wish he had some more tape on the other 3 recruits. Think we've seen everything Petty and Sexton bring to the table, but there's very limited videos of Herb and Smith, and only a few on Reese.

Yeah I always look for all of the recruits but the only one who constantly has videos coming out every day is Collin
