Well, aren't you one entitled individual.

Sure, fan loyalty and support is the foundation of any program, but without even getting into that chicken-or-the-egg argument you're ranting with, it's still Saban's recruiting and coaching prowess that has brought the championships to Tuscaloosa, not you or all the t-shirts you bought. We didn't win shite with Shula at the helm, and that probably wouldn't have changed without a better coach, so quit acting like you fan-devotion'd the team to victory, and quit taking such an inane amount of credit for the program's success. Even accepting that the fans 'built' BDS, it's the coaches' and players' hard work that wins the games played inside it. Quit acting like he owes you something personally, and quit reacting like a child because he called you and your ilk out.

So a HC takes up for his players and he doesn't have class? Saban has a right to defend them... even against arrogant, impossible to please fans. You see... he understands what you appear not to:

He has a young team who, at times, makes mistakes on the field. The key is getting them to understand that while impossible to please fans will always be there, they as players have to learn from their mistakes, loosen up, and just play ball. Guess you didn't see that Saturday. Well, I did. Players jumping, dancing around, smiling. Not criticizing someone when they made a mistake but rather picking them up and encouraging them. For the first time in a long time, I saw young men who were just playing ball. No fans to please, not worried about making mistakes. Just ballin'. And if it takes a coach doing what Saban did to get them at ease, then so be it. Take your butt hurt back to the Shula years. The rest of us will enjoy and appreciate what Saban and the players do... win or lose. Enjoy.

I will say that Saban is a lot like Bryant in the artful profession of media manipulation.

Never said that. Was pissed at attitude of those who don't recognize the effort, energy, and emotion of the players late against Arky and the turning point that happened.

Oh. You're one of those guys. You've probably been saying "Bear woulda" or "Bear use to" for 30 years now every time something didn't go exactly as you wanted.

So why is it that you expect us to cheer when the team does good but sit in pained silence when they are flopping around on the field like a fish out of water?

To show you're a true fan and not some punk arse fair weather bitch.

You know what I saw in that stadium Saturday (and not for the first time of course)? I saw a lot of empty seats after the first half. You don't like the win if it's by one point on the road after a loss, but you'll sure as hell nut yourself during a blowout at home so you can leave early to get your drunk on.

Something else I saw Saturday: a group of about 20-30 A&M fans in the north end zone still cheering till that clock ticked to 0:00. You and many other fans only wish you could smells the farts of those A&M fans. Those are the type of fans people wish they could be.

You talk about seeing 100+ wins under Bryant but you seem to forget the disappoint of the Mikes. I used to get into games for free through BSA by ushering every Saturday. I was lucky to be able to, even though I didn't have to. By doing it that meant that chances are I would not have a place to sit, but at least I was at the game. Most of those were during those dark times. That means that I stood while watching us get our asses handed to us every weekend. Those cold Novembers when it seemed like the rain wouldn't stop and I was in fear that I would wake up tomorrow with pneumonia. Or in 06 when I got invited to ride to Gainesville and was treated like shite by UF fans: "We're going to whoop y'all arse." "Yeah, you're probably right."

So GTFO with your whinny bullshite. Oh Saban hurt your feelings because he told the truth/something you didn't want to hear? Well just remember that we were very fortunate that the planets alined so that he got here. Or did you also forget about how that happen and who we could have gotten. I know Michigan sure hasn't.

Probably to go frick himself like he should then hopefully turn in any tickets he might have for people that actually want to go to games. I know a bunch of people that will gladly take his place.

Saban is one of the best things to happen to Alabama football in decades, and this is the shite you spew? We've lost one game, on the road, to a top 3 team in the country. We have a chance to play spoiler to Auburn, Miss. St., a chance to beat the ever loving shite out of LSU this year, and end the season 11-1. It's been an awesome season regardless of the one loss at Ole Miss. We may still get into the first ever playoff with a chance to beat Ole Miss at a neutral site.

I couldn't give any fricks if Saban gets mad at fans for not being happy. He could take the podium and fart the National Anthem, drop the mic, and never do a press conference again and I'd still blindly take his word that he knows how to construct a football team better than anyone in the country.

Coach Bryant took a bad Alabama team and turned it BACK into a dynasty. He was the greatest coach of his time. Well loved and revered among ALL fans of college football. He did things his way and it worked.

Coach Saban took a miserable Alabama team and has made it a dynasty once again. he also does things his way. Revered among all also. The greatest coach in the current era.

What separates them is the times in which they have coached. It's apples and oranges. Football and more importantly SOCIETY has evolved far too much to criticize Saban for not doing everything like Coach Bryant.

Saban needs to be pissed off at the fans. We are spoiled and entitled. We are accustomed to being the biggest hog at the trough. There's too much parity these days to keep that mindset. Almost any team can beat another on any given Saturday. Saban does what he needs to do to make his program play like they are supposed to. The fact that we have had the run of NCs in the last few years is ASTOUNDING in today's CFB world.

Did you happen to notice the crowd Saturday? They were going WILD! And the players feed off of that! What sparked that? Coach Saban.

If it bothers you that bad, maybe you should just watch old games on tape. The game and the times you are looking for are LONG gone.

Roll Tide!
