The women whipped LSU today for the first time in forever. 11-2 now on the season. Looks like Coach Curry is turning it around.

only two losses on the year.... we're coming into the SEC as hot as we've ever been. Hope it holds up.

I remember a few years ago, they went like 12-3 before opening SEC play.... went 1-13 in the league.

We've lost some games in SEC play, but we beat UGA by double digits tonight.

Did Georgia go downhill after Landers or whatever his name is retired? I'm not used to seeing them not be a top 25 team.

Looks like Georgia's RPI was 34.

13-5 and 2-3 in the league, even if most of their wins are over more cupcake variety than good teams, is light years better than the year before she got there. There was at a new level of embarrassment with Smith and Wendell.

That's a better win than I thought.

For those that did not catch the game, Bama had a decent lead. UGA cut it to a bucket to end the 3rd, but Bama buried them in the 4th. Really closed it out strong.

I'll admit, I have zero desire to watch women's basketball. I enjoy women's soccer and softball (to an extent, obviously), but I just can't watch women's basketball.

However, like most of us, I want the University to compete at the highest level in everything we suit up for. Love to see them getting programs like basketball back to a competitive level. We should never be as bad as we were in WBB in anything ever again.

I coached girls youth bball for several years. It is different from the men's game, but I enjoy it.

From a coaching standpoint, having done both, give me 10-12 year old girls over boys the same age all day long. Boys are more athletic and at that age most know a lot more about the game but every single one of them thinks he's the love child of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Girls will actually listen and are willing to be role players.

Only if she can beat Tennessee this year. That streak has to end. And this is the best chance we've had in a long time.

hungover watching the bama/au game right now and i must say this team is much improved. more than our record indicates.

didnt realize how many freshman and sophomores we are playing. curry will have this team back in the tourney in a year or two.

Made a valiant comeback effort, from what felt like 20 down at one point. you can't have a 30-40ish shooting percentage and hope to catch anyone good.

The atmosphere was incredible, the house was packed, loud and would not allow Bama to quit. Once Curry gets this thing going, I think we can be a monster program.

I hope so. I'm tired of seeing Bama reach the top of the mountain in football in January then fall completely off the radar in relevance in basketball a month later.

At least both basketball teams are improving.....

Make no mistake, this is not a good team yet..... but the seeds of something are there. I just hope it doesn't take Coach Curry as long as it did our W Tennis team to get things going... (10+ years of bleh before becoming national contenders).
