ESPN really puts in a ton of work on their recruiting information. They literally rank 300 kids and generate a team ranking system off of it and nothing else.

Most of the money for the recruiting arm of ESPN goes to pay Stephen A. Smith to yell at people. It is in his contract .

Isn't he their highest paid employee? It's amazing what simply steering into the loud, emotive black preacher trope did for his career. Dude offers absolutely nothing in terms of insight or analysis and makes more in a year than any of us will see in a lifetime because he yells his uninformed hot takes instead of merely stating them.

I'm higher on Smith than Russaw, but I think Smith is a must get regardless of whether there's any truth to those rumors of us putting the full court press on Woods. I think he'd be the second best player in the class after Downs.
