Hopefully he is. CJ was the most underrated but best LB in the Saban era to me. He was all over the field and had multiple interceptions. He was an animal and was not a five star coming out of high school if I remember correctly. Everyone remembers Fosters monster hits and McClains animalistic play on the field but CJ was truly special.

Is CJ underrated?

I think most people consider him and McLain 1A and 1B for Saban's best.

Ro, CJ and Foster were all elite. CJ and Foster might have been better players, but Ro was a field general and that is hard to top.

The hit from Ro on the LSU receiver coming over the middle. He just broke him.

Sorry CJ was a more complete player than RM. he was a great thumper as was Foster but CJ was far better in coverage and was great at stopping run.

The Mater Dei Three.

That would be fantastic. Bring 'em home, Abduall.

Shaun Dion Hamilton would have had a say in being the best LB under Saban but he couldn't overcome the injuries.

People need to remember that in the 4-2-5 defense we're going to that there is a lot of room for tweener safety/linebacker body types. I believe we've just signed a couple of guys who could go either way depending on how they grow in the S&C program.

At least two of our starting LB's on the '92 defense were DB's in high school at one point.

Oden and Hall, if I remember correctly.

I hope he is like CJ. CJ was one of the smartest LBs in the Saban era, maybe THE smartest.
