With high school prospects committing early in the process every year, the number of recruits who flip their commitment also seems to be going up on a yearly basis. Here is a look at eight committed prospects who are still being heavily pursued by other programs as many of them will also take other trips.

CAMERON LATU: Committed to Alabama

When Latu committed to Alabama over the summer, he and his family raved about the relationship they’ve developed with co-defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi. That will be an important consideration as Latu looks at the remainder of his recruitment. It’s hard to believe a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker would not stick with Alabama, but Utah is giving a serious push, and staying home could be a consideration as Signing Day approaches.

BRANDON KAHO: Committed to BYU

Kaho has emerged as one of the top linebackers in the West, and after an early commitment to BYU, the four-star prospect is now being recruited by almost every national power in the country. USC is making a major push for the Reno, Nev., standout and the Trojans could really emerge after a recent visit to Los Angeles. More official visits are also being planned through his senior season, with Alabama, Texas, Oregon, UCLA and Utah being possibilities. If BYU keeps him, it would be huge for the Cougars and he could be an immediate contributor.

Marcel Brooks, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound outside linebacker from Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus holds offers from programs like Alabama, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, Penn State, and Florida State.

Brooks checks in as a four-star prospect and the No. 42 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite.

Breakdown:
If you are looking for a prospect to come in and make a difference as an edge rushing specialist early on in his college career, then Brooks is the prospect for you. He has great first step explosion and can get to the quarterback in a hurry. When he arrives he will deliver the big hit. He has one play on tape, where it looks like he knocked himself silly delivering the power shot on a ball carrier. Physically, he is long and lean right now, but has the frame to add good weight while retaining speed. He is fast enough to be considered as a potential safety prospect, but his strengths on the field are more suited to being an outside backer. He is a high-level prospect who will get all of the offers.

Why would the school get that? You said yourself he really hasn't proven anything.

Why would a school get an injury policy for a player? You'd have to ask the many schools who do it each and every year. I'd assume it's for the player's peace of mind and it helps encourage the player to come back for the senior year to enhance their draft stock, get a degree, etc. Bo has proven he is a solid back when healthy but has yet to have an "NFL worthy" season. He clearly has a lot more value to Bama in 2018 than to any NFL team at this point in time. If we can dangle an insurance policy as a carrot for him to return...fantastic.

According to either Mcshay or Mel Kiper they have Bo as the #2 Draft eligible Running Back

Try #12 running back behind Damien Harris, bit of a surprise with Harris. Thought he would be a top 5 for sure, alot of good RB"s this year

Name the last time Bama did that for anyone.

Kiper also has Bo as the 3rd best back in the SEC

There are 4 RB's ahead of him on the draft board just from the SEC. Derrius Guice, Nick Chubb, Sonny Michel, and D. Harris

I think Damien will come back for his Senior season. He talked about the importance of getting his degree when he was being recruited and his girlfriend is a freshman at UA.

No reason for Bo or D Harris to come back. Any good RB will be 3 and gone.

Our poor friend TigerPaw appears to have given up on updating the Auburn recruiting thread.

Their board looks like ours after the National Championship Game last year.

This makes no freaking sense. If you're a blue-chipper YOU WILL PLAY RIGHT AWAY next year at the best program in the country, given our depth chart. These guys should be knocking each other over to get a spot in this class.

Step off the ledge fellas, its just a crystal ball. Our mods continue to say we're in good shape for him, has something changed? I thought A&M was the team that was gaining ground with him?
