That's him. He needs to drop around 30 to 40 pounds, but he definitely carries that weight well.

No one could outleverage him in his highlights...

Nice to see 247 come to their senses on Anoma. Incredible upside.

And for someone said to be "raw" last year, he had 24 sacks. That's not "raw" production. That's elite 5* production.

I guess I missed ESPN saying Tua's little brother was already committed to Alabama during the broadcast on Saturday night.

OSU staff has potentially grown tired with the antics of Carman and Parsons.

Carman has been switched to guard on his high school team apparently, and there is a good chance he loses his 5th star. Also, his twitter beef with Herbstreit can't be good for him, and he is still overweight

Parsons has just had too many bad episodes and his calling for JT Barrett to be benched basically may have been the end of the line

OSU has been in contact with Petit-Frere and Barnes for a good long while, but they were probably "backups" to Carman. Other guys (Gilver from Rivals) insist Carman will be a buckeye.

Alabama offered four-star tight end and Miami commit Brevin Jordan on Sunday night, the Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman product announced on Twitter.

"That's a huge offer," Jordan tells BamaOnLine. "Alabama is the top program in the country. But I'm 10,000 percent 'Canes."

The offer is intriguing considering the Crimson Tide is heavily pursuing -- and is in good position for -- two other tight ends in Luke Ford and Texas commit Dominick Wood-Anderson, not to mention its interest in in-state riser Michael Parker.

The Tide has taken two tight ends in each of the previous two classes. It's not likely to do the same in 2018 with its current depth at the position.

To reinforce Jordan's position on his commitment status, Miami insider Andrew Ivins feels Jordan is secure in his commitment as it stands as well.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder is rated the No. 3 tight end and the No. 65 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

On the season, the U.S. Army All-American has caught 22 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns.

Jordan says Miami is the only official visit he will take.

Scout got a fresh look at blue-chip class of 2018 prospect Harold Joiner on Friday night, as his Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook team fell to Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson High, 40-13. The senior made some plays and showed some of the reasons why Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Clemson, Michigan State and others are pursuing his talents.

It looks like a run of CBs for Micah Parson to Penn State has begun.

I wouldn't go that far just yet. A lot of teams we are battling aren't doing so hot. We may end up with a few steals come NSD because of it.

Taulia Tagovailoa still has Alabama on his mind

ALABASTER, Ala. — When SEC Country visited Honolulu last November, Taulia Tagovailoa, a Class of 2019 4-star quarterback from Thompson High School, said that when Alabama offered him a scholarship heading into his junior year, he wanted to commit to the Crimson Tide right then.

Tagovailoa decided to hold off on committing to Alabama because his parents said he was too young to make his college decision. Fast-forward almost a year from that trip to Hawaii, much is still the same for the nation’s No. 8 dual-threat quarterback. Alabama is still his top choice.

“I’ve been getting a lot of mail from a lot of different schools, but I still feel like Alabama is where I want to be at right now,” Tagovailoa told SEC Country. “They’re looking at me the hardest. They show me a lot of love when I’m there. I’m just always around them.”

Alabaster is approximately an hour from Tuscaloosa, so Taulia gets to visit campus often and hang out with his brother, Tua. Taulia said he usually gets to see Tua at least a few times a week.

Taulia was in attendance for the Fresno State game, where his brother threw his first career touchdown pass for the Tide. He was also there this past Saturday for the Colorado State game. In two games of action, Tagovailoa is 7 of 13 for 64 yards and that touchdown.

“It was exciting. It’s a great memory I’ll have,” Tagovailoa said of his brother’s touchdown. “I’m very happy for him. It’s been a blessing for me because I get to be around him a lot. They have some celebrities at Alabama, and I get to hang out with them, too. It’s fun.”

When Tagovailoa was a recruit, there was some worry from him and those around him that if he ended up sticking with his commitment to Alabama, he may not see the field for a few years. While it’s still very possible he may not start until 2020, after Jalen Hurts graduates, or 2019, if Hurts decides to declare for the NFL draft after his junior season, Taulia said his brother is enjoying himself in Tuscaloosa.

“He loves it there,” Taulia said of Tua. “He loves competing with Jalen, and he loves their workouts. Everything about Alabama is just great. He’s really loving it.”

Taulia said he isn’t planning on making a commitment until his senior season, so Alabama fans shouldn’t expect a decision anytime soon. If he did end up choosing the Tide, Tua would be a junior, so the brothers would have at least one year together before the elder Tagovailoa could decide to leave for the draft.

It’s very likely Taulia will want to choose the Crimson Tide when he’s ready to make his commitment, but, remember, these decisions have to go both ways. It’s possible Alabama may want a different quarterback in the 2019 class. It’s not a given that the team will take Taulia. Just like it’s not a given that Kevontae’ Ruggs, Henry Ruggs III’s brother, chooses Alabama in the 2018 class because there are higher players on the board right now.

Taulia is also keeping his options open and has thought of the possibility of being on opposite sidelines from his brother.

“I’m still looking at all of the SEC schools. LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss are some of the schools, specifically,” Taulia said. “It would be fun to play against Tua.”

After evaluating the high school football talent throughout Louisiana during various camps, 7-on-7 competitions, drills on campus and watching film, SEC Country is ready to unveil its second installment of prospect rankings for the Class of 2018.

As expected, LSU holds commitments from a bevy of the talent included in the top 30 and is squarely in the mix with those who remain uncommitted at the time of these rankings.

Note: These rankings take into account the spring and summer evaluation periods and was updated following the first month of Louisiana’s high school football season.

Without further ado, here is our countdown of the top 30 prospects in Louisiana for 2018:

21. Slade Bolden, 3-star ATH (5-foot-11, 195); Alabama commitment

Slade Bolden is listed as an athlete as he continues to handle quarterback duties at West Monroe, but he will eventually shift out to slot receiver for the Crimson Tide. Bolden is also expected to have some responsibilities in Alabama’s backfield and is sure to be a major factor on special teams as well. While he doesn’t have game-changing speed or size, he is fundamentally sound and an underrated athlete. He has sure hands and is a precise route-runner and should eventually emerge as one of Alabama’s reliable targets.

2. Kelvin Joseph, 4-star DB (6-foot-2, 190 pounds); LSU commitment

Kelvin Joseph has cemented his spot as Louisiana’s No. 1 defensive back and No. 1 overall defensive prospect. He plays with a nasty streak at his free safety position for Scotlandville. He thrives in 1-on-1 coverage with his incredible upper-body strength and ability to press at the line of scrimmage. He is also a true center fielder in his ability to disrupt plays with hits after the catch or assisting in the run game. Joseph’s game is at an all-time high level where he should find a role in the LSU secondary right away.

1. Terrace Marshall Jr., 5-star WR (6-foot-3, 195 pounds); uncommitted

Terrace Marshall, the state’s top prospect, kept his post at No. 1 despite a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula, which will sideline him for upward of two months. Between his elite size, smooth route running and consist hands, Marshall has all of the necessary tools to be a prototypical No. 1 receiver at any Power 5 school. LSU believes he has the skills to succeed D.J. Chark, a future first- or second-round pick. Marshall’s game has been taken to new heights in the past 15 months, which shows how incredibly high his ceiling is moving forward.

The state of Alabama will have a healthy list of football players signing with Division I programs in the 2018 class. With that in mind, SEC Country will be ranking the Yellowhammer State’s top 15 recruits for the class.

These rankings will be released once a month throughout the football season. The list is based on evaluation by SEC Country reporters, recruiting interest from the two in-state programs, other offers, stats and ratings from the main recruiting outlets (247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout). The star ratings below come from the 247Sports composite.

Here are SEC Country’s top 15 prospects in Alabama for 2018:

11. Myles Mason, 4-star safety, Hewitt-Trussville — uncommitted

Myles Mason’s recruitment has been somewhat of a question mark for the past several months. It’s unclear which of his top schools he can commit to at the moment. Alabama, the school he likely wants to pick, is still evaluating him, as is Florida State. With him being at Hewitt-Trussville now, one of the top football teams in the state, Mason will have a lot of eyes on him this fall.

10. Jalen Cunningham, 3-star defensive tackle, Saint Clair County — uncommitted

Jalen Cunningham hasn’t had the best coaching in his high school career. That has changed with Matt Glover now there. Since Glover was hired in late February, Cunningham’s recruitment has taken off. Like Mason above, it’s unclear where he can actually commit. Alabama is still evaluating him and wants to see how he plays after he recovers from a turf toe injury. If the Crimson Tide want him, he’ll commit to Bama. Though Cunningham is 6-foot-6 and over 340 pounds, he carries his weight very well. With proper coaching, we believe Cunningham could be a force in the SEC.

8. Andres Fox, 3-star defensive end, Mobile Christian — uncommitted

Andres Fox is on the wish list for Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Stanford, so that gives a good idea of his skill set. He has a solid combination of strength and agility, which is why he ranges from a Buck target to a defensive tackle target. All four of those programs have specific plans in place to utilize Fox in their schemes. He will be a standout for Mobile Christian this fall and show exactly why.
