Was looking up info on Bulovas. He hit a 37 and 49 yarder in the Army bowl

If it was just mono I don't think it would garner the level of secrecy it has on BOL.
His situation is treated like Area 51 over there.

Yeah I think Cristobal made a poor move going to Oregon. I don't see how he will improve his stock there.
Same time though, the Saban "rub" kinda stagnated with him.
We were always worried about losing him to a HC job. Problem was, no one was calling. This at least expands his horizons and connecrions...

The Chris Allen thread on the L6Urb is hilarious

I'll post what redfish said about it a couple years ago on Magilla's old place later tonight.

I've heard 2 different things on Hill, don't quote me on either.
One was he took an event in his life very badly, like take his belt bad.
The other was a serious back injury that may/may not have happened in the weightroom.
Both could be bull, but recall them being posted...

Good man.
No one will see it over there.
I still check it every day though.

The Miss St. 247 mod thinks that the kicker will flip to them by Wednesday, which is when Mullen goes in home.

Miss St. mod also says one of his best friends recently committed to Miss St.

I'm not buying it. I don't see anything Mullin can do about it if Bulova wants to visit Bama before he commits.

Anyone have a question for John Garcia?
He's holding his second of TEN consecutive daily recruiting chats tonight.

He says he is going to try to call one or two recruits during the chat.

Allen and smith and ruggs if he has the latest

Garcia says he is seeing Chris Allen in person tomorrow and will have much more on him then.

He confirmed Saban is going in home with Aubrey Solomon on Thursday.

Saban gets the last in-home for Devonta Smith on Thursday too.

So Allen seemed solid after the LSU visit, but after he visits Bama, he is wavering?
Seems kinda backwards.

There is one distinct difference, however. Unlike grayshirts, a blueshirt is able to enroll and participate in team events in the fall. This allows programs to get the best of both worlds: FBS schools can delay a scholarship for the following year, allowing them to over-sign beyond the 25-scholarship limit, and get the use of a prospect immediately rather than waiting until the following spring.
A little misleading and why USA Today always seems clueless in reporting.
The rule actually states this for Blue Shirting per the NCAA:
quote:
Bylaw 15.5.6.3.3 A student-athlete not recruited (per Bylaw 15.02.8) by the institution who receives institutional financial aid (based in any degree on athletics ability) after beginning football practice becomes a counter but need not be counted as an initial counter until the next academic year if the institution has reached its initial limit for the year in question. However, the student-athlete shall be considered in the total counter limit for the academic year in which the aid was first received.
Initial counter applies to which class the recruit is assigned. So a blue shirt assigns them to the next year. If a player blue shirts in the fall he would technically count against the 2018 class. I say technically because based on room in the current class for EEs we could also backcount him as well.
But usually the way the blue shirts work is the player walks on and after the first practice starts he receives a full scholarship and will count against the 85. It is a way to cover late spring, summer, and fall camp transfers without affecting your incoming class. The can player receive a scholarship and most blue shirts expect they will in the fall and as so will count against the 85.
One thing though that has to happen he can not be recruited to be a blue shirt. Meaning was not:
provided an official visit to the campus;
Had arranged, in-person, off-campus contact with a coach; or Was sent an NLI or other written scholarship offer.
So hopefully Bone is referring to a verbal offer

Apparently something happened on the in-home visit with Chris Henderson that all but guarantees he is going to Florida.
Garcia won't say what though.
Harris is the only DB left on the board.
