Admittedly, someone coming from Hawaii may be considered a little underdeveloped. Add in the fact Tech isn't exactly revered as a place for defensive development.

Yet, they threw him out there to start 25 straight games for them. Whomever gets him has 3 years(to play 2) to try to get him on track...

I found this random article, but I can't find any info about him. If he enrolled at Alabama State in 2013, with a redshirt he'd have one season of eligibility. With a greyshirt maybe two?

quote:

JUCO OL Jordan Harris Talks about his recruitment from Alabama and more excusively on TideRecruiting.

Harris comes in at 6’6 310, and is currently rated as a 4 Star. Jordan played one season at Alabama State before transferring to Morehouse Junior College This Past Season.
Jordan Harris on His Recruitment from Alabama Thus Far:

It’s been great thus far. Coach Key is my primary recruiter. My interest level is all the way at the top. And I’m deciding if I was to go to Alabama, Louisville, Auburn or UGA.

How was your visit to Alabama in November?

It was very cool, and it was a great experience.

How do you feel about the competition level at the OL Position at Alabama?
I mean it’s nothing new to me, this isn’t my first time playing college football. I played at Alabama state and Morehouse so I know how to compete for anything and everything I do. I plan to get in and make an impact. If I don’t end up starting I’m still going to do my best to make everyone around me better.

2018 DB Zion Frasier of Atlanta, GA gives a update on the latest in his recruitment excusively on Tide Recruiting.

Zion comes in at 5’10 170 lb, and is a pure cover corner, but is also able to play the STAR and FS/SS Positions.

Zion on whether he would be a good fit at Alabama:
Yeah, I like i’ll be a great fit for Coach Pruitt’s defense. I feel like my ability at corner right now is good and I know Coach Pruitt will get me better, as well as Coach Ansley

Potential Visit/Camp Plans:
No Doubt, I’ve been talking to my coaches about getting in contact with the coaches so i’ll know when i can visit. i’ll most definitely be considering attending a camp this summer…what’s a better way to showcase my talent than in person

What’s Your Connection to Alabama?
“I played with Sophomore OL Dallas Warmack and i’ll love to do it again…i look at him as a big brother/mentor”

What should people expect from you for Next Season?
“This off-season i’m grinding perfecting my crafts but right now i’m running track to increase my speed and stamina. This season man it’s gonna be a show, so I encourage everyone to come see me ball.”
Frasier should continue to develop over the next couple of months, and be primed for a Strong Summer Showing.

Ten recruits who could flip before National Signing Day

quote:

Christopher Allen, LB, Alabama

One of four linebackers committed to the Crimson Tide, Allen could be on the verge of joining a program that under coach Nick Saban has churned out All-Americans and NFL draft picks at his position. Another option for Allen would be to play college football closer to home, for a program that fired its longtime coach last season because he couldn’t beat Saban. The Southern University Laboratory (La.) School product recently took a trip to LSU and subsequently said in a radio interview with an ESPN affiliate that he has been thinking about the Tigers “more than ever.” The addition of Allen would be a huge boost to an LSU class that has secured a commitment from only one of Louisiana’s 11 highest-rated recruits in the class of 2017.

quote:

Jhavonte Dean, CB, Alabama

Dean emerged as the No. 4 cornerback in Scout.com’s 2017 junior college rankings while excelling at Blinn College in Brenham, Tex, but he played his high school football at South Dade Senior High in Homestead, Fla. That’s why it’s no surprise he’s showing interest in Miami. After visiting the program earlier this month, there seems a decent chance Dean could join head coach Mark Richt’s first full recruiting class in Coral Gables. Dean would be a promising addition to a Hurricanes secondary that’s already set to bring in highly coveted Christopher Columbus (Fla.) High safety Trajan Bandy and should compete for playing time right away following the departure of second-team All-ACC member Corn Elder.

One of the Lsu "insiders" on LSU247 says that Allen's parents want him to stay closer to home, but they will let him make the decision.

Not Bama recruiting related per se, but interesting tidbit nonetheless:

FSU is confident they're going to land Marvin Wilson.

Shea has Allen and Harris in his "next wave of confidence" picks. The top tier is McMath, Gay, Phillips and M Wilson.

Interesting that both FSU and LSU have M Wilson on their top tier confidence pick.

He says LSU is feeling very optimistic after his visit last weekend, but the optimism could be squashed depending on what happens in Ttown.

Miami remains firmly in the mix for four-star Columbus cornerback CJ Henderson; four-star junior college cornerback Jhavonte Dean, Miramar four-star safety Brian Edwards and Georgia-based two-star safety Tariq Carpenter.

Henderson, a former UM oral commitment, is also considering Alabama and UF; his father told Canesport: “Miami’s in the top now. He really does like UM.” But some consider UF the favorite.
