If he commits he won't feel special any more.

Hey Brunedog. I don't mind you copy and pasting what I post here on the LSURb, but please include the context when you do.

Those snippets you posted aren't my personal thoughts on those prospects. That was a summary of a recruiting video chat from the Alabama beat writer for SEC Country and the AJC.

At this point there's really no such thing as not fitting our scheme. I'm sure Saban still has an ideal for what he's looking for from each position but the reality is that we play guys according to the opposing offense on a week-to-week basis. I don't know if there's a single positional archetype that's not represented on our defense at this point. Maybe the traditional thumper inside lb?

He has apparently never heard of context either, just c/p statements meant towards this fandom. Which in turn confuses his own fandom.

So far Kyriq McDonald is having a nice game. Took the opening kickoff back for a TD. Scored in a pick 6 and took a direct snap around 50 yards for a TD.

I'm not a NFL GM, but Sterling is a stocky powerful high twitch guy. His only negative is height. To me, that guy fits either the keep him skinny Jack role or the bulk him up for the DE in a 3-4 position role much better than a DE in a 4-3 scheme. Don't see a ton of short stocky 4-3 DEs in the NFL.

So I'm watching the Najee Harris' game and he hurdles a kid on his way to a 9 yard gain and an apparent first down.

I say apparent because he was flagged with a personal foul for hurdling.

You read that right. In the state of California it is a personal foul, 15 yard penalty if a runner hurdles a defensive player.

And they wonder why teams from the PAC-12 get no respect.

Harris just trucked a fool on 4th and 1.

He got 15 yards on the play.

ETA: I'm about 20 minutes behind live play.

Damn the Antioch snapper is terrible. Two consecutive snaps over the head of the QB.

If the Antioch coach would stop being cute and just run the ball, they'd be up by 2 scores.

Holy shite. He's Lane Kiffin.

DeLaSalle's D is REALLY good. And of course that isn't surprising, as they've been perhaps the top program in the country for the past couple decades. Not much room for Najee to run.

But his footwork is otherworldly. To be 6'2"+ 228 lbs. and be able to cut and dart and juke like he does is unlike anything I've seen. Fournette doesn't have it. Gurley didn't have it like this. Even Zeke Elliot and Henry (especially) couldn't cut like he does. He moves like someone 5'9" 170 lbs. It's just crazy.

Harris is a mix of Yeldon and Henry.
