He didn't look too bad, but he didn't exactly set the field on fire.

It'll be interesting to see how he plays when they face off against a good team with talent semi-comparable to IMG. That team is so loaded so we may not ever get a chance to see that though.

BOL "insider" on Jedrick Wills:

He's waiting to drop the video now. Nigel Knott did the same thing last year, so yall shouldnt worry. I'll keep you guys updated when I hear something new.

Nigel Knott did the exact same thing last year. His video was made way before his announcement, but decided to wait until later in the year to give the green light.

Did y'all know we now want Dylan Moses to come in and replace Tim Williams?

One LSU poster with a brain said this:

quote:

He does not make tackles above and beyond everyone else. He piles on. Great athlete yes, but no killer instinct for a high level linebacker. I see why Saban has cooled on him.

Here's the response from some mouth breather:

quote:

insider information? how do you know Bama cooled on him? Last I heard from his people Nick told him he was their priority. Conversation from Nick Saban is that he is a pure inside Backer who they want to teach how to rush from the edge like Tim Williams.

You just can't make this shite up.

At least some of them are starting to see Moses is not the once in a generation talent he was made out to be three years ago. Others? Not so much.

Another poster in that thread gets it:

quote:

I absolutely do. But to compare Moses to Williams is absurd. And if you think Moses is top priority for Saban then I want some of what you're smoking.

I gave him an upvote.

I'm still saying Brent Calloway.

He'll probably end back up at RB at LSU.

Where do people get this shite????? They have to just make up stuff to make themselves feel better. It's impressive

Oh he dropped another gem that would make our "insiders" jealous:

quote:

Im not comparing Mr. Moses to Tim Williams Im telling you what Alabama Staff has recently told his people. you can take that for what its worth. regarding the young mans position of priority with that staff well obviously you know more than i do. so ill just leave it at that.

Ok. So it's Bama Bump conspiracy time. I looked up Tua's rankings on all four services to see who had him ranked the highest. Here's what I found:

247 - #34 overall
Rivals - #45 overall
Scout - #35 overall
ESPN - #55 overall
Composite - #32 overall

The Bump is real!!

No player made a bigger jump in the latest Rivals250 Presented by Under Armour than defensive back Elijah Blades, who saw his ranking rise 111 spots to No. 124. The Florida commit enjoyed a superb summer and is poised for a bigger senior season. Here is a look at all the big movers, both up and down, in the latest Rivals250.

Markail Benton

New rank: 140

Previous rank: NR

Difference: NA

Benton added significant size this offseason and is looking more and more like a college-ready athlete. He moves well laterally but he's best against run. Benton is committed to Alabama. -– Rivals.com Southeast analyst Rob Cassidy

Akial Byers

New rank: 172

Previous rank: NR

Difference: NA

Not only does Byers have size, but he's learned to use it. He is a versatile lineman that plays inside but has some impressive pass rush moves as well. Byers uses his long arms to put offensive linemen on their heels and retains the quickness to shoot gaps. Byers is committed to Alabama. -- Cassidy

Chris Allen

New rank: 209

Previous rank: 242

Difference: +33

Allen has worked out both at linebacker and defensive back and probably has the potential to play either depending on which school he picks. He has improved his speed and coverage abilities in recent months and was very impressive while camping this summer at linebacker. LSU and Alabama appear to have the lead in the edge for his services. -- Wommack

Elijah Conliffe

New rank: 211

Previous rank: NR

Difference: NA

Conliffe has been a virtual ghost this offseason, but we did get a glimpse of how much he has progressed. He is absolutely massive now with virtually no bad weight and still has great length. If Conliffe is just as agile as he was last season, offenses will have a lot of problems keeping him out of the backfield. Alabama is Conliffe's leader, but USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, Miami, and Ole Miss are still in the race. -- Friedman

Josh Falo

New rank: 225

Previous rank: NR

Difference: NA

Falo has a lot of things going for him from a physical standpoint that just makes him one of the more intriguing tight end prospects in this class. He has great size, he’s long and athletic so he covers ground down the field easily. This summer, he proved he can make the tough catches. Too often in the spring, Falo did not take over games like he should, but at The Opening he was great and proved he could be a special player. Oregon, USC, Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska, Miami and others remain involved. -- Gorney

FYI - Composite isn't an average of the previous numbers.

It's entirely mathematically possible for what you see to happen.
