Is anyone else having trouble with the site? I get an error message every few minutes.

Guess they can't handle Tua getting that fifth star.

Ohio State has 20 pts more than us despite having three less commits. Looks like this will be the year we give up the recruiting title.

Nah. We are going to flip one of their 5-stars in Wade and we are getting a 5-star today in Wills. We are supposedly taking upwards of 29 in this class and they can only take 21-22. They'll beat us in star average, but we'll take the overall title. Again.

We don't have a "2016 Alabama Players in the NFL" thread yet so I guess I'll post this here.

Anthony Steen is in line to start at Center for the Dolphins.

Yes his video is supposed to drop today. I assume he's probably already committed, not sure what time though.

Another example of a stupid arse L5U fan over on tRant:

Ever heard of Chris leak?

True freshman, first start, 19-0 UF over lsu, the mighty, perfect in all ways, defensive whiz Saban as our coach in the 2003 national championship year

Good Post.. I forgot all about Chris Leak.

He had Tim TeBow backing him up. Bama has no where close to Tebow as a backup. That helped Leak as a freshman.

So a true freshman Leak had Tim Tebow as a backup?

You can't make up how stupid that fan base is.

Solomon decommits from Michigan

Just days ago, I spoke with 4-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon in person. At the time, he had a giant smile on his face when talking about his commitment to Michigan. He spoke highly of how coach Jim Harbaugh sat down with him the day he made his commitment and told him which classes he would specifically take in the nursing program. Academics are a major part in Solomon’s recruitment and it was the biggest reason why he decided to commit to the Wolverines.

He joked that his mother wasn’t on board with his commitment at first because she wasn’t on the trip and knew nothing about the school. She eventually came around to being fully on board with her son’s decision. That all changed Monday night.

The nation’s No. 5 defensive tackle decommitted from Michigan because the staff sent his mother a thank you note for an event she did not attend. The staff also spelled Aubrey’s name wrong. The recruit takes relationships very seriously, so he viewed this as a sign that the Wolverines don’t care much about him and his mother.

Now that he’s back on the market, there’s one thing that does bode well for Alabama’s chances for Solomon, who had the Crimson Tide on top for several months before his abrupt commitment to Michigan. His mother, who is in the military, loves Alabama.

“She loves Bama. She loves the tight ship that Saban runs,” Solomon told SEC Country a few months ago.

Sabrina Caldwell, his mother, is going to play a giant role in Solomon’s next landing spot. Alabama and Georgia are the schools considered to have the best chance at landing the Army All-American. When that time comes for him to commit, the reason for why that school lands him is clear.

“How happy my mom is with my decision,” Solomon said. “They have to make an impact on my mom and my whole family. If they do that, they got me.”

Alabama will get an official visit from Solomon at some point, but Georgia may be the team in pole position. Last week, he told SEC Country the Bulldogs were recruiting him the hardest. He also told SEC Country that he connects with the roster better than any other team.

“I just know way more people at Georgia, and some of them I’ve played against played with or seen in past visits there,” Solomon said. “It felt as if I was home.”

Solomon has changed his mind several times on which school he favors. At various points in his recruitment, the following teams have been named as a leader to land him: Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Florida and Ohio State.

Why Solomon’s decision is big news for Alabama

Several months before Solomon committed to Michigan, a source close to the team called the defensive tackle arguably the team’s top priority on the defensive line. Yes, more important than 5-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.

Another source close to the team told SEC Country that he was shocked when Solomon committed to Michigan because the Tide felt good with where it stood with the 4-star prospect from Leesburg, Ga.

Solomon told SEC Country that Alabama remained in touch with him after he committed, but the team decreased its communication. Solomon said that he talked to Alabama once a week. With him being back on the market, expect that communication to increase.

With it being a down year recruiting wise for defensive linemen and it being arguably Alabama’s biggest position of need, bet that the coaching staff is going to do what it can to land a top 5 defensive tackle.

Alabama’s other defensive line targets include Marvin Wilson (5-star DT), Tyler Shelvin (5-star DT), Elijah Conliffe (3-star DT), LaBryan Ray (4-star DE) and Ryan Johnson (4-star DE). The Tide have commitments from 4-star DT Akial Byers and 3-star DE Aaron Sterling.

Top CB narrows list

Christian Tutt is going to be a name you will hear and see a lot if you’re an Alabama fan.

Tutt, a 2018 4-star cornerback from Thomson (Ga.) High School, narrowed his list to 11 schools, and Alabama made the cut. That was a given considering his relationship with Tide defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

“Coach Pruitt,” Tutt told SEC Country was the reason why Alabama made his top schools list. “He was the first coach to offer me. He’s great. He’s a straight shooter.”

Pruitt is using that first offer recruiting pitch to the nation’s No. 4 cornerback in the Class of 2018, according to 247Sports. It’s something that sticks with Tutt as he figures out which school he’d like to attend.

“Remember, I offered you before anybody knew you?” Tutt said is what Pruitt tells him often. “So I believed in you first.”

Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State are in the best positions for the Army All-American. With Pruitt at Alabama, Tutt may be the Tide’s to lose.

He will announce his commitment on May 30, 2017, to honor his brother who died earlier this year in a car accident. Chris Tutt would have turned 21 years old on May 30, 2017.

Bone reported last night that he spoke with Wills, and Wills said nothing was happening today......could be smoke screen, as many others have said it was going down today........

NOTE (although I have heard he notified Kentucky coach Bob Stoopes the other day that he was coming to Bama)

we are going to take a bunch more than they can, we will maybe flip wade (maybe even more likely with sheffield gone and marlon probably going early), and we have a couple of specialists dragging us down. We will still get the title, just probably wont have the highest star average

OSU could finish in the 320 range on total points. Right now on 247 CBs they lead for Akers, Okudah and are right there for Tufele. Adding those 3 (Akers is a long shot until he signs) and completely taking out Wade they are 315 (as even Bama mods have said the Wade thing is close and will be up to signing day). If they lose Wade, and don't flip another CB, they will prob add Harris the WR from Cleveland which would put them at 318

If you beat that, then
