Not necessarily. Last I'd heard, we're in pretty good shape for White. We'll sign 2 backs. I personally would love for them to be Walker and White.

I'd add that as of now, I expect our toughest competition for White to be Ole Mi$$. With $o many guy$ expected to declare for the draft for them after thi$ year, I'd expect them to pull out all the $top$.

Here are some notes from ellitor that are relevant to us:

quote:

-Louisville getting a QB today may not affect Pass like some recruiting analysts think (Allie)
-Barrett is set to commit on June 3rd
-Strong sources say AU leads for Woody
-AU optomistic w/ Woody
-Pass says he's ok w/ being in a 2 QB class
-AU will likely still go after Pass if we get Woody
-Pass confirmed he will be at BCW
-Pass will visit Bama & UNC after that
-UNC has a QB in the class so him visiting shows he's at least somewhat open to be in a 2 QB class

quote:

-AU likely made a great impression w/ 4* ATH Devin White on his AU visit
-AU likes him & RB & LB but he said AU talked a lot more offense on the visit
-Sources say AU is recruiting him as an ATH because they don't want to scare off Holyfield who may be an AU lean
-White say he will visit again this Summer

quote:

-AU likes it's chance w/ #1 juco OT Garrett Boles who is OVing this weekend

quote:

-In state 5*s Davis, Davidson, & Wilson plan to go to LSU instead of BCW

More notes from ellitor:

quote:

Jawon Pass notes per 247 LINK

-Will leave BCW to help his bro move in @ Louisville (possible he doesn't stay for all of BCW)
-He will be in the Elite 11 Semis in LA June 5-7
-3 day Bama visit June 8-10
-will visit UNC on June 20 then commit before Elite 11 Finals in early July
-Mom prefers UNC, Grandma is a life long Bama fan, Pass grew up an AU fan

I confess I'd melt a little if they were to land both Pass and Barrett.

On second thought it looks like Davidson will visit Auburn instead of LSU this weekend:

@JLeeAU21: 5-star Marlon Davidson, No. 1 DE/No. 2 overall player, will be in Auburn this weekend for "Big Cat." Huge addition

Im paraphrasing all of this from Cary Clark on CBC (crimson and blue chips):

Braxton Miller:
-Has told some people that he'd like to transfer and be a starting QB while he's told others that he is open to staying at tOSU.
-Has to transfer by tomorrow at 5pm central if at all.
-One very high ranking source says that he is not optimistic that Braxton Miller is coming. He thinks he is staying at tOSU.
-A journalist has spoken to several UA players who think Braxton will join by tomorrow.
-Third source says Braxton's transcripts were received by UA on Friday.
-Fourth person has seen texted photos of Braxton Miller in Ttown with Depriest as late as Sunday.
-Anywhere between 35-60% recovered from shoulder surgery. Should be cleared by mid-July.

ETA: Cary Clark said if he had to answer, he thinks that BM will come to UA.

Kansas' No. 1 prospect Xavier Kelly primed for Alabama visit

The No. 1 prospect in the state of Kansas will be making a visit to Alabama on Friday.

Defensive end Xavier Kelly, a four-star recruit from Wichita, Kan., said he will arrive late Thursday and make his visit to Alabama on Friday. After that, he'll be visiting Florida State and Clemson.

Alabama assistants Billy Napier and Tosh Lupoi have visited East High School to watch Kelly practice, and he's talked to head coach Nick Saban on the phone.

"Alabama, that's a big-time football program with a good academic center," Kelly said. "They always rule the SEC, so that's always a good thing."

Kelly said he's been keeping in touch with Napier and Lupoi a lot, and the Alabama coaches are interested in what he has to offer.

"They like my size and speed," said Kelly, who said he was 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. "I play defensive end in high school and they're talking about moving me to an outside linebacker. I play defensive end on third downs to rush the quarterback."

Kelly, a one-time Kansas State commit, remains wide open in his recruitment. He's visited six schools and has 14 more he's trying to visit.

"By the end of this summer, I will have a top five or eight, and on Jan. 9 I will make my final decision at the Army All-American game in San Antonio, Texas," Kelly said.

Kelly detailed what he was looking for in picking a school.

"I just want to go to a school where I'm comfortable living for four years and has a good program for what I want to major, and a school where I feel like I can develop as a player and a person and go to the next level," he said.

Aside from being the top-ranked player in Kansas, Kelly is ranked as the No. 180 overall player and the No. 10 weakside defensive end in the country by the 247Sports composite.

Elite QB Jawon Pass sets new visits as commitment approaches
Jawon Pass

AL.com has confirmed Jawon Pass' visit to Auburn this weekend, but he has several other stops to make before making a decision in July.

After checking out the Plains on Big Cat Weekend, Auburn's annual recruiting event, the dual-threat quarterback will leave with his family on Saturday to help his brother move in at Louisville, according to 247Sports. Khane Pass signed with Louisville last February.

Next weekend he'll then take a trip to Los Angeles for an Elite 11 camp before reportedly visiting Alabama June 8-10 and North Carolina June 20.

The Tigers, Cardinals, Crimson Tide and Tar Heels are in Pass' top five with Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound standout from Columbus, Ga., named Auburn and Louisville his co-leaders after the A-Day spring scrimmage.

"(Auburn) told me I'm the guy and when I'm ready, I can let them know," Pass said. "It says a lot about how much they really want me."

This spring, Pass earned an invitation to Nike's elite football camp, "The Opening." He plans to announce his decision before the camp, which takes place July 7-10 at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oreg.

Pass is also a 2016 U.S. Army All-American and is ranked as the nation's No. 2 dual-threat prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
