That's pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I can't imagine the amount of grief he is getting today from everyone. I see how it can be creepy tweeting at recruits (I don't tweet), but I can also see where they may like all of the encouragement since they are being bombarded by negativity. It's sad that someone booed him at his announcement. I would say the same thing if the shoe were on the other foot. I think our passion for our football team and university can sometimes cloud the reality that this is a kid making a life changing decision.

That's awesome

I wonder if Reuben has showed him the YT video of the letter to Auburn Part 2 (Two for our AU lurkers)

So there was an article on 247 about behind the scenes of 2014 class. It said Rudolph basically trolled our staff and that he told the FSU staff what he was doing. I knew it!

Also said Roc tried to commit to us in the fall of 2012 and after junior day 2013. We wouldn't take the commit, so he went to AU. By the time we sent in Kiffin it was too late.

For the life of me I do not understand the staffs logic in giving a punter a scholly over roc it makes no sense at all.

It was a scholarship for Fornette over Roc, not a punter.

Four-star running back Roc Thomas tried to commit in the fall of 2012 and on a Junior Day last January to Alabama. Alabama was still waiting on Leonard Fournette so they couldn’t take that pledge. And they had Bo Scarbrough committed and four backs that hadn’t yet signed in the 2013 class. After his second attempt, Thomas went underground hoping for an offer. Eventually he pulled the trigger for Auburn. Alabama tried to go back in late with Lane Kiffin. No luck.

It had nothing to do with the punter.

I understood you. Why use the extra scholarship and get Roc and keep Fournette's scholarship on hold for him. We could have taken both.

Becuase the chance we had at LF would have been 0 with 2 backs already committed.

It's been zero the whole time. I think he was all LSU.

Don't we have two kids walking on to play punter? Doesn't make sense to give one a scholly when we could've gotten roc/prevented him from going to auburn

I've always thought we should've taken Roc, but could be staff felt taking him would cost us Bo too. Lot of moving parts. With what we know now, wish we would've passed on Kamara and taken Roc this year.

Hindsight is always 20/20. I'm not worried about it, with Bo this year and Flowers next.

I still prefer not giving kickers/punters scholarships until they are already contributing. None of our scholarship guys have contributed at a level that would be expected of a kicker getting a free ride.
