Maybe they told him the same thing Saban told Julio.

This whole situation is so weird. His social media is still plastered with Bama stuff, he hasn’t officially announced anything and we’ve only heard from his dad and now this quotethat is being plastered everywhere.

A ton of social media is probably being managed by handlers- college athletes are basically TikTok influencers these days

Of course it is. It’s his portfolio.
If Downs transfers again, his Ohio state highlights will stay as well.
He is “building his value”. He’s a damn good football player. No idea who he is as a person or teammate. But didn’t see him quit on the field.
He’s a business and I think he realizes that.

But wouldn’t you announce it yourself or update a picture with something from Ohio State.

To me this feels like his dad is looking for one more bag drop. Unless he’s already enrolled or something. I could be wrong but this just looks odd.

I don’t assume all our players are saints… Saban spoke incredibly highly of Downs. Turns out he’s just the latest in the string of CFB prostitutes… sold to the highest bidder haha

I think there's a lot of evidence that professional athletes suck much more than the average person on the personal level. Often poor parenting situations compounded by everyone around you stroking your ego for your entire life.

Makes it really difficult to pick a favorite player. I have always picked an incoming freshman player to point out to family and friends that I feel will be a “name”. Unfortunately Caleb has made his name among us for a different reason. I appreciate his efforts last season though. However this past season Saban mentioned Devonta Smith during fall prep more than a couple of times. I’m excited he’s getting his chance.

How much pressure is on Ryan Day. Being at OSU means fans calling plays can win 10. So with the three straight losses to CJH... People in Ohio are realizing... He is not delivering

He has to get to a natty. He has a new AD that can "choose to go another direction"

So when downs days "need" - yep and that means a mint.

Has to be a national championship or he’s done. Three years in a row losing to big brother. Someone is dropping a bag on all of these transfers. It’s win or deliver pizzas for Day

Sayin is supposedly heading to Ohio St too. He does know Saban isn't there, right? And they hired BOB as OC? Purely a bunch of Dollar Whores, but these guys are getting some really bad advice.
