Dude do you not realize how bad it could be? Look around at some of the QBs in the SEC and tell me you ain't happy with Blake. If you're not then I don't know what to tell you.

We don't have to be happy with Blake just because there's not any good QBs in the SEC.

Our running game is the worst of Saban's tenure, save maybe 2007. He doesn't have the luxury of our offense just taking over a game by rushing like it has in the past. No one is saying that he is perfect, but he has done what is needed to get us the W. i'm not sure how any Bama fan could possibly be unsatisfied with the results thus far.

I don't care about the SEC. I want our team to be the first to win the playoff. Sims needs to be better on the road for that to happen. I'm not sure how anyone watching this season could think otherwise.

You're just a total homer for Blake. It's pretty sad really.

That wasn't my point champ....my point is it could be worse. Sims has got the job done and couldn't be happier for him.

We don't play anymore true road games!
Neutral site =/= road

There's a difference between being happy for him and happy with him. I'm happy for him, but far from satisfied with him.

You're right, of course, but it's still not playing at home. I know they beat WV on a neutral site earlier in the season but that wasn't an impressive win and we will have better competition if we make it to the seccg and the playoff. Really that's my only concern with the team though. If they could have just put it all together with crowd noise on offense this team would have been 10-0 right now.

We're singing his praises because he has done exactly what we've needed him to do. Time and time again. How many picks has he thrown this year? How many times has he just lost us the game outright?

He's led two amazing drives to win us football games, set the record for most yards by an Alabama QB in history against Florida, and has done it all while being benched for 4 years, and by beating out basically an heir to the AJ throne in Coker.

He's amazing and light years above anything I imagined he could be.

Blake has made most everyone eat crow and it's hilarious. Call me a homer or whatever you want. Ystar is just saying what everyone else is ignoring, incompetence by someone other than the qb.

Blake is my friend and I am damn proud of him.

But Jake Coker can throw it to the moon but can't memorize a playbook, take that to the bank btw. :)

If he wins the title, he'll be by far my favorite. Not a lot of QB talent, but A TON of heart. Hell, recruited as a DB... moved to RB, moved to back up QB, overcame odds to win the starting job...never complained about being moved to fill needed roles, then Wins a Title??? You gotta love that kinda player.

People unhappy with Blake in this thread do not know anything about Blake Sims AT ALL...

The guy played QB in Highschool, sure... But he was listed as an athlete and we recruited him as a DB... When we had running back injuries we moved him to RB... Then when the other Sims left we moved him to QB... Then as a back up QB playing at his third position (one he was never recruited at) he managed to beat out all the other 3 & 4 Star QBs and a Coker Transfer... And people want to hate on the guy.. frick you if you do... You're no better than the racist rednecks that didn't wanna see Bama have a black QB when they didn't know shite about him.

Guy is an underdog, fought his way to the top, never complained, and just went out and did what his team needed him to do at the time. If he'd stayed at DB, he might be on his way to the NFL. I hope Blake becomes a Coach later in life.

He would have thrown at least 10 if the other team's DBs didn't have stone hands. He was lucky he didn't have 2 picks against MSU on those two deep balls he severely underthrew.

He's a better QB than McElroy was.

I just wish we had a running game to help him out more, like we did in 2009 with McElroy. If we get a good running game going, this offense would be unstoppable.

I don't know why Kiffin doesn't run more often. When we run the ball we seem to have more success on drives. And drives often stall when we try to pass too much. I simply don't get it.

The end of the MSU game showed balanced stats, but it sure as hell didn't feel that way in the game. The 3rd quarter especially.

We had 3 drives in the 3rd quarter. The first drive was a 3 and out - all pass attempts.

The 2nd drive we had that 17 yard pass to Stewart on the first pass. We moved the ball to the MSU 20 and we had 3 runs and a few passes completed. A sack really killed us on that drive and we missed the FG.

And then on the 3rd drive, all passes, 3 and out.

Our big 4th quarter drive that was so successful had tons of runs in it. It was a run dominated drive. 8 rushing attempts that drive, not counting the 2 times Blake made 1st downs with his legs. Passing on that drive - 7 attempts, only 2 of them completed and I'm counting the 2 blake runs for 1st downs as passing attempts.

I don't know what Kiffin is doing anymore.

Actually we recruited him as an athlete with a promise he'd get a shot at QB. Everyone just assumed he'd wind up at DB. Spent his first practice at DB, but the rest of his redshirt year at QB. Second year as a RB. Then back to QB.

Kiffin tried to recruit him as a QB for Tennessee. Sims actually almost changed his commitment at the last second to Tennessee because of it, but then Kiffin bolted to USC so he didn't.

Kind of crazy that now as a senior Kiffin gets him as a QB.
