I would have loved to have seen Brodie come along as a freshman in 2013.

Elite athletes around him along with a good offensive line and Scott Cochran?

#1 AJ McCarron
#2 Brodie Croyle
#3 Greg McElroy
#4 Jake Coker
#5 Andrew Zow
#6 John Parker Wilson
#7 Blake Sims

The rest....let's just try and forget they were here.

Croyle
McCarron

(Sims
Coker
Zow
McElroy
Watts)
All of these guys are interchangeable for me.

Wilson

Bateman (only because of such a small sample size)

Pennington

Guillon

Avalos

Pennington, Avalos and Guillon have been compartmentalized and blocked from my memory.

I'm of the opinion Brodie could have easily been as good as AJ if he played on those teams.

Brodie was very talented. No question. Especially before his many injuries. But did he have the mental fortitude and will to survive and thrive under Saban? AJ accepts responsibility. He owns his mistakes. He has everything u want in a NFL QB except the big time arm. He makes great decisions on the field. AJ proved he was a championship QB. Brodie never had that chance. He might have done it, but I KNOW AJ can do it. That's why I easily rank AJ over Brodie. Joe Montana and Tom Brady are not the most talented guys to ever play the game either, but I would take those two over anybody.
