Avalos couldn't throw the ball due to small hands.

He's by far the worst I've ever seen.

It would be interesting to see Brodie behind these better OLs and with more skill talent.

Worst was easily Avalos. I know he is not the same era, but Danny Woodson and Marc Guillon were also pretty putrid.

I was just thinking the same thing. That would have been awesome.

The golden era of Bama QB play!

The real question is could they be successful as a game manager in Saban's offense?

No. None of those dudes could hit people wide open right in front of them.

I remember Pennington missing a wide open receiver in the end zone against Minnesota in the Music City Bowl. That truly was a painful time in Bama history!

Talent:

Croyle
McCarron
Zow
Sims
Coker

Best player:

McCarron
Sims
Coker
Croyle
McElroy
JPW
Watts

No one else deserves mention.

I've always been really high on Croyle, his body, and our oline, never allowed him to play to his talent level. His arm was amazing, and when he had time he was fantastically accurate. There was a reason he was considered the best QB in the nation before his first knee injury.

There's only one QB on that list with an undefeated season to his credit.

Danny Woodson started the first 7-8 games of 1991. He played pretty well in the good majority of them. He was benched due to off the field issues.

Worst

1. Avalos
2. Guillen
3. Pennington

If any of those guys were our QB last season we would have lost 3-4 games.
