Well that's definitely more optimistic.

Goes from the most muddled WR corp to thinnest WR corp.

He will finally get an opportunity to show what he's capable of. Good for him.

I'm so pumped for this one. Finally gets to show if he's good enough.

I love that this happened. Cam Newton needs WRs, and he's got a trustworthy target. I really believe he can become a solid WR in the NFL.

Thought he did alright against the Cards, but he still didn't do enough to stay with the Raiders. Shame that he couldn't put it together at Indy.

So what are the chances of Norwood making the Panthers' roster? Or is he possibly headed for the practice squad?

I do think he could be a solid WR, and for their future if they retain him and he plays, I could see him in the slot with Funchess and Benjamin out wide.

Both Brad Smelley and Robert Lester got their pink slips from the Rams and Panthers, respectively.

Lester will more than likely get picked up by someone else real quick.

Or he'll get signed on to the Panthers PS like the last two years. He could be picked up by somebody now or when he's on the PS but the last two years have gone exactly like this with him being activated to the starting roster by mid season.

He hurt his knee in the first preseason game but he will start day one. Our other rookie safety tore his achilles and is out for the year. We signed that punk arse bitch Brandon Merriweather and ex Giant ex Texan Stevie Brown but I'd like more depth then the CB out of ND and Safety out of Iowa we have back there now.

I wonder how many rookie WRs have been double teamed a good bit in NFL history? I've got a feeling Coop may see some eventually unless some other targets can make plays for Oakland. Crabtree could be able to, and they have a good group of TEs, IMO.

During that last game, Collingsworth(i think?) pointed out how the Cardinals were sneaking a safety over the top on Coop's side of the field to help with his coverage.

Oh yeah, I remember that.

Hope Carr can get him the ball.

I now wanna see Julio and Coop on the same Pro Bowl team.
