is it possible to both be "meh" with losing the kid and grateful for his dad bringing in top texas AAU talent

The kids have all signed right? Then yeah it all checks out.

Seems odd to have moved this. Kid is transferring from one SEC school to another

Boo this. I always hate these situations. If he is starting, the rest of the team always feels like its just because he is the son. Hurts you in recruiting too. "Do you really want to play PG at Alabama with the coaches son at your same position?"

I just hope him and Terrance Ferguson are tight. I'm also hoping Jr mentored the hell out of some freshmen and sophomores before he left high school. Seriously, if this was going to happen, why not before those top 100 kids had signed?

I don't care if he comes here - don't think he needs a scholarship.
Um, you guys know how are there so many other fans on this forum?

This thread was started on SECR, admins moved it to Bama Board...even though there is clearly an orginial thread started here..if they would police right they wouldve checked here first and then whacked this thread if it bothered them so much.

my 2 cents. He may never put up big time stats but he is here to help his dad recruit kids who can make a difference. He played on the AAU circuit and him helping "croot" those type kids to Bama could be huge.

I don't see how it's a negative. I mean, if we need room I'm sure CAJ will just pay for JR's tuition to free up a spot. At worst, he'd be a decent back-up guard off the bench who could give us a few quality minutes every game and probably is a pretty good leader. And maybe he develops into a pretty good role player for us? I'm good with him coming, especially since he seems to be a great recruiter himself.
