Surprised to hear bad experiences about the Georgia fans. I went to the blackout game on '08, a game at Bryant-Denny in '94 vs them, and the '12 SECCG. All times I interacted with UGA fans and hardly had any bad experiences. Some of their students are pretty arrogant, but we have that too.
At night when everyone is there drinking, of course you're going to meet assholes. I never want any opposing fan to go into Houndstooth on the Strip after a game because its flooded with dickheads.

I will say that I didn't have any bad experiences for the most part at the 2013 SECCG.
Also, every trip I've taken to Athens has been really awesome and fun. Great town. Granted, it was never during a Bama football game.
