I'm 48.

Young 'un, get off my lawn!

I remember when the players' names & numbers would come on the screen with the chyron caption a loud buzz would come on the screen. Did that happen to anyone else? Never knew if it was JP's feed or my TV set.

So Arky is the best team we have left? Lol.

Let's look at the schedule and break it down.

aTm is a spread team which has been Bama's achille's heel but this is a new year and their defense is still suspect. More importantly, it is a road game against what will be at worst the SEC west co-leader. Under those circumstances, Bama under Saban has arrived motivated and prepared practically every single time.

Tennessee is at home and aside from being Tennessee, Dobbs has taken every snap at QB yet has roughly half the TDs, twice the sacks, and the same completion % as Coker. The only statistic where he's better is INTs. Against Oklahoma he was he was 13/31 for 125 and against Florida he was 10/17 for 83. He won't do any differently against Alabama.

LSU is going to bring their A game as usual. It will be a slugfest, but on offense they do EXACTLY what Bama stops best and again, there won't be a lack of motivation in facing the probable heisman winner.

Mississippi State is bad and by that I mean they're really, really bad as in should have lost to Auburn bad.

And finally Auburn is a dumpster fire. If they don't beat UK, they may not win a single conference game. They'll come out motivated but there's no way that should be anything close to enough.

So, while Arky isn't the best team left by a long shot they are the team best positioned in terms of schedule and ability to take advantage of an Alabama off day and pull the upset. They have a balanced attack and they're sitting right between a road game at UGA that was won in convincing fashion and aTm. Pretty much the quintessential definition of a trap game.

I stand by the statement. If Bama shows the mental discipline to prepare and play to their ability in this game, I do not think they will lose another regular season game.

You know what? I'm frickin sold. You convinced me if we beat Arky we got it made. But understand, if we beat Arky and we don't win out, I will be devastated. Row Todd.

I didn't say beat Arky.

Bama's the better team by far. They can simply not commit 5 turnovers and probably still win the game by a couple of TDs.

I said come out prepared and dominate as they did against UGA. If they do that, they'll have demonstrated that they've got the mental side to go with the physical ability and THAT will be what makes me confident in the rest of the schedule.

31-7. Mass Coaching exodus at the end of the season in the SEC West. Only Saban, Sumlin, and Miles are still around in 2016. The Magnolia brothers head for greener pastures. The Bus finally sputters off the bridge. Bert is dismissed. Prayers sent.

Although there are still similarities to last year's game, there are a ton of differences. Last year, Arky was able to stifle our offense by bracketing Cooper. Being that no other receiver wanted to step up, we couldn't get a passing game going. This year Mullaney and Ridley will make the defense choose its poison, hell even Stewart may catch a few if he's wide open. Lane can keep the defense honest with the bootleg as well now, so no crashing and selling out to stop the run because Coker can make you pay. I think we should just come out with the same game plan as last week. Load that box, blitz Fitz, stunt him in coverage, throw multiple fronts in passing situations to confuse Allen. We can't let them get in a groove.

greener pastures? You mean they leave or they get fired. What is greener then the SEC west. Most of them are young bucks and they know they can coach longer then NS will be at Bama.

Arky's oline isn't as bad as they have looked but y'all have the horses up front on d to negate that. Their defense isn't the same as last year and y'all should be able to run on them, we did so it shouldn't be a issue do for y'all. The thing about them is they never quit no matter what and that can come and bite you if you're not careful. Brandon Allen is a serviceable QB and AC3 is as good as any back in the country. I see y'all wearing them down and winning but Bret likes to play ball control and that is y'all's wheelhouse. Bama 35 Arky 24 Good luck

I could see an overconfidence issue.
Turnovers will be paramount in a game like this.
We really need a positive turnover ratio this week. Not to mention every week.

I would be beyond pissed if we let over 10 points to Arkansas at home.

Their TE I would guess. Ragland can hold his own in coverage though

Also Drew Morgan, our White hope has been coming on the past few games. He isnt going to out run anybody. He is the best route runner and he catches almost everything thrown to him.

Back to the post earlier about mismatches, I think our TE could be a mismatch.

This is certainly possible, I wouldn't be surprised if we crushed them, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they gave us a game.

Bama's defensive line will dominate Ark's OL.
