1. The loss to Toledo is bad, however Toledo is now 4-0 and ranked, so they aren't exactly scrubs.

2. Arkansas had A&M (who is a top 10 team now) pretty much dead to rights before choking it away late.

3. Arkansas was down 14 points on the road in a hostile environment at Tennessee and fought back to win. Tennessee isn't great, but fighting back from 2 TD's down on the road is tough no matter what.

4. Arkansas played us toe to toe last year in an ugly game (the weather helped) so they have confidence they can play with us.

We should definitely win the game, but they aren't to be taken lightly. We can't afford a sloppy Ole Miss type performance.

True, but they can't run on us and their defense this year is about half as good as last years, slow start, then we pull away 31-13

Quite frankly, I'm sot sure they aren't better than OM. UF isn't the only team that's going to crush Rebel dreams this season.

This game worries me. Big win @ UGA, aTm next week, and an underrated opponent are the ingredients for trouble.

This has the looks of that classic Alabama game "we should win by 3 touchdowns but instead we have played like warmed over arse and it's 17-13 in the 4th quarter and I've exhausted my supply of profanity to the point my wife left the house at halftime and my beagle ran into the guest bedroom".

Can we just cruise to a 28-3 type throttling?

I wouldn't say "much".

Their QB is spotty and Bama is geared to stop the run.

I agree with your analysis. I'm not particularly worried because I just don't see them getting many points unless we turn it over regularly.

I haven't seen much of them this year. Any 1 strength that could cause us problems?

I don't think it will be that bad. More like a 24-10, 28-17 kind of thing where you kinda feel like it's in hand but not comfortable enough to start flipping over to check out other games.

If, however, Bama turns it over a lot then there's trouble brewing.

In a nutshell, if I were the betting type Arky & 16 would be very, very tempting.

I bet I'm a lot older than you. I can remember about, oh, 557 Vanderbilt games where I have squeezed claw marks into the arms of the La-Z-Boy as we slop around with the 'Dores.

Jefferson Pilot + Vanderbilt = 900/300 blood pressure

It will be very similar to the UGA game:

Arkansas shouldn't be taken lightily, but this eerily feels like the '12 game vs Miss State. Their offense plays right into Bama's strength, so Bert may want to throw some surprises and catch Bama off guard. Gotta attack Allen in every way.

As for their defense: They don't concern me. Coker just needs to take care of the ball and everything will work out.

Their TE I would guess. Ragland can hold his own in coverage though

The only one I can think of is Hunter Henry at TE. He's probably they best TE in the league and they do a pretty good job moving him around to create mismatches. He'll be a challenge for our LBs and Safeties.

Their OL looked pretty bad against Toledo, but that's the only game I've watched. THey may have just had an off night.

Possible, but I doubt it.

I'm 48. I remember crying as a 13 year old when Mississippi State won the 6-3 game and broke Bama's conference winning streak.

I easily remember those JP games with Vandy all too well. Finally get to see Bama on TV and they're sleep walking.

This has an ugly 24-10 written all over it.

If Bama comes out with similar effort and intensity, it will be very similar to the Georgia game.

I don't mean to come across as being negative on the team. On the contrary, I've been very high on them. I was one of the few that predicted an comfortable win in Athens (called it 28-16) and have been constantly defending the offense against the sky-is-falling crowd.

This team is very good with the chance to become great but they're still capable of looking ahead and falling into a trap and this game has the potential to be that trap.

If they do come out and take care of business, I'm going on record right now that barring a rash of injuries, they won't lose another regular season game.
