Doesn't matter to me long as the offense is productive.

Someone made a similar thread and got slammed. Prepare for some unnecessary insults by some of longer tenured posters around here.

Lol....wat? We are using the tools we have. If we had a mark Ingram back there I'm sure they would run it more.

I don't know that we've ever had an offense this productive so to answer your question, no.

Ok, I will grab the lube and wait for the onslaught. It was just a simple question. I think seeing Jacobs, BoScar, and Emmons got me thinking of a pound it out offense.

Every week another thread about the offense. Could of easily put 60 on Arkansas if it wasn't for fumbles. Enjoy Kiffin while he is here.

But all the defensive scores and quick offensive scores gets our defense gassed. I'd like to see more clock control by our O personally or it could come back to bite us in the arse against a deeper team.

No thanks.

I've lived through the eras where 3rd and six practically guaranteed a punt.

Hell no.

We'd still NEVER pass it to OJ and Hale Hentges would try to tackle one of our own.

This is one of the most productive offenses we've had in years, and you want to change it?

Tell Arkansas to tackle better than. It isn't like we were gashing them over the top.

Long as we are winning titles I don't care how the offense is doing it. I personally love what Kiffin is doing but if smash mouth is what is required to win, then I'll love smash mouth too.

O how soon some of y'all forget how inept at times the Alabama offense was during the "pound it" years under Saban. This offense is just scratching surface. It has a chance to be scary by years end.

As someone who grew up watching 3 yards and a cloud of dust, it's nice to know that of the defense gives up 21 points it won't take a miracle to win.

As long as the defense doesn't suffer as a result and remains the top priority, then I'm all for opening up the offense and keeping up with the times.

I don't want to see a spread or any bullshite, but recruits want to play in an offense that scores points.

We lead the SEC in Yards Per Play with a true freshman QB. What is the problem with our current offense? We get too many yards too quickly?

I'll trust the coaches know what they are doing, they have consistently proven that over the years.

That having been said it does seem like we show far more consistency when we go back to old school style football (power running, screen passes, short routes to the WR/TE, etc.)

If we never run another pop pass to the WR ever again it'd make me happy...

but once again, we don't see the players every day in practice and don't know exactly how the game plan fits together.

Does this take into consideration the 10.5 ppg the defense scores?
