I agree with everything you just said because NS is a team player and realizes that having all of that helps his FB team. Being an annalist does not necessarily make him a member of the media and he has shown that he can do it in limited occasions. It would be a good way to go into your retirement years with no pressure.

I would love it if he was the AD at Bama when he retired but I dont see it happening. It would be great if he kept his house in ttown and his house at the lake in Ga. Wouldnt it be great if he was still involved in things in ttown and make an occasional appearance at sporting events.

well you are going to argue i see. Mrs. Terri has a huge roll in NIck's kids that takes a lot of the day to day stuff off Nick. Either way NS is a ball coach and doing Admin work would more than likely not be his cup of tea. An Analyst on EsPN would be something he might consider since he would only have to work half a year and make upwards of several million a year. He would be drawing a huge pension from Alabama when he competes 10 years. Money wont be an issue but being an AD would highly surprise me.

Not arguing. Just pointing out that it is unlikely that Paul Bryant Jr. would have had that conversation unless the topic had been discussed with Saban.

Yeah, Terri takes a lot of the day to day stuff off his hands with the foundation...just as assistants in the AD take it off the hands of the AD. But we're not talking about that. You said "schmoozing and butt kissing". No matter how much work Terri does behind the scenes, no one writes that big check unless Nick presses the flesh.

and what I am saying it is not in his natural DNA so why put yourself in a job where you dont like doing it. MM loved it. I would almost bet that the biggest donor to Nick's kids are Nick and Terri Saban. I know they have a charity golf tournament and I almost also guessing here, but if he has a speaking engagement outside of his school responsibilities he probably commands a high fee, with this going to the foundation.

Anyone know how they get most of the funds for Nick's kids.

If Saban retires while Battle is still the AD, Battle will resign 10 minutes later.

Would you want to be head coach at a school under Saban as AD?
I'm all for Saban, but when Saban retires the new coach must be able to be autonomous to a certain degree. I'm not sure how much latitude the new coach would get. Maybe Saban would stay completely out of it, but the perception would be that Saban would remain involved.
