Sucks I'm gonna miss this one, but the secondary market is insane. Will be a very tough and expensive ticket to find, similar to the NC last year.

Very. Spending $500 on a NC game is one thing. Spending $500 on a regular season opener is another. Going to be hard for me to justify at the prices I'm seeing. I even live in Atlanta and might not be going. Hopefully they get a little more reasonable.

I've never seen anything like the NC game in Tampa and I've been to all of our NC games and most of the bowl games since 2008. Hopefully it's not that bad...

Most way too early preseason polls put us at #1, some seem to put FSU at #2. I could see them being put there just for the hype of it. Have the #1 and #2 preseason teams ever met in the opener? I can't remember it happening.

Bought 4 tickets pretty much in the highest row in the stadium.

FSU friend of mine calls me and says a surgeon he knows sold him 2 tickets on the 50 yard line about 20 rows up for $500 total. I think they're even in some all you can eat/drink section thing. Dude's entire family gives TONS of money to FSU.

Anyways, I'm selling the tickets I bought at first. Already sold 2 and have 2 left.

I go to an Alabama game almost every year and went to the semis in NO. I live 20 minutes from Raymond James and didn't even come close to going to the game. Made plans to find a ticket and when I saw how much they were, nope.

shite was crazy.

I think this is guaranteed to be the highest both teams are ranked in an opener in college football history. I think as long as Florida State is in the top 3-4 and Bama is 1, then it'll be the biggest opener ever from what I've read.

It's never happened before. Which is why I think you're going to see the voters do it. They want to hype this thing up for the ratings.

I have two tickets through TP but I have no idea where they are yet. How are you selling tickets when you don't know the seat?

This is by far the most expensive regular season game I've ever seen. The going rate is higher than most of the SEC and National Championship games, very bizarre.

A lot of it is new stadium hype, people wanting to see this new supposed greatest stadium ever built.

That combined with a surefire top 5 matchup of two big time programs.

I just am not going to pay $500+ for a regular season game.

Just checked, that was week 2. Texas started the season #3 and beat North Texas in week 1, moving up to #2. Ohio State started at #1 and beat Northern Illinois in their opener.

Have any of you heard anything about the status of the stadium construction? A couple of months ago I read an article that the delays shouldn't impact the UA/FSU game or the Falcons preseason games. I just hadn't heard an update. Hopefully everything got resolved.

What were those going for? I remember selling a single ticket to the NC in New Orleans vs LSU for $1,800.

The cheapest single ticket I found while walking around the stadium all day leading up to kickoff was $1,300 for a single upper deck seat (all were almost on the top row if now top row). To get a halfway decent seat on the day of the game you either had to get extremely lucky like I did (I'm sure some others looking for singles got lucky as well) or shell out a lot more than $1,300 to get a good seat or multiple seats together.

What shocked me in Tampa was the scarcity of people selling tickets in town. Clemson fans bought up tickets like crazy, ha.
