We've had to rely on young players at CB. ANYTIME that happens, there are going to be problems. We're blaming Cyrus Jones when the root cause is actually Dixon being a bust and Fulton never developing into a contributor after 4 years.
Agree 100 fricking percent. I unfollowed Fulton because of that shite lol. Don't know how he sucks soo bad that kids out of high school who barely could make the grades could pass him.

Anyone believe that our cbs will be better next year or is that just wishful thinking?

I personally believe the best bet is having two 5 star db's commit this year. That means we can have Hump and Tabor/Brown/Peppers trading out time with Eddie Jackson and we can say "they are freshmen and look so promising"
As of right now... Cyrus Jones got the job in the Iron Bowl and he doesnt have the football IQ to stay on the WR with 40 seconds left.

im pretty sure they will. lots of guys in their first year playing cb in out defense, which is harder to learn than most. future first rounders dre kirkpatrick and dee milliner both had all these same comments made about them after they made big mistakes in year 1

BOL will be posting nuggets at noon tomorrow
Hoping for some news on Hampton and Elam.

While I don't see any of our guys getting to Milliner levels unless Eddie Jackson is no longer being punished for God knows what and makes a huge leap, I don't think it is unreasonable for us to hope for our guys to make a jump similar to the one Belue made.

Saban has set up his in home visit with McMillan for Thursday. Meyer is in home visiting on Sunday, and McMillan will make his decision next Monday.

Have we set up an in-home with Tony Brown yet or have we just given up?

Bartow on 247 said that McMillan has told coaches from Clemson and Bama that tOSU is the team they are fighting. Sources around McMillan confirm he is leaning towards tOSU

this kid is really starting to come off as a dramatic attention whore. Won't be upset if he heads north
ETA: this is off topic but does anyone else find it odd that we aren't recruiting any juco corners?
In the past we've gone this route without hesitation. To me it could mean several things: Staff is confident that humphrey is staying home and talented enough to start right away/ Staff knows Cook and Jackson are close to "getting it"/ There are no good JUCO corners/ Staff is confident in "recruit x"

Kids have a right to change their minds on who they like. At least he's doing it as an uncommitted player.

I know they have a right, I understand that. He just comes across that way, like there's a flavor of the week with him and he just craves the attention of the runner up

I sure hope that's the case. I just wish MH would commit already so I don't have to worry about corner. Also, if CJ Hampton could go ahead and flip that'd be great too. Also, if KB could go ahead and flip I would be happy. Why can't these kids make major life decisions to fit my personal timetable

Some years there just aren't any good JUCO CBs. I'm sure the staff knew we could use some immediate help at CB for the current season but we didn't sign any JUCO CBs last year either.

I agree with the flavor of the week comment but some people are just indecisive not attention whores. Compared to some recruits like a certain LB we signed last year, Kwon has actually kept a low profile.
