Jarran Reed and DJ Pettway's team, East MS CC, won the JUCO National Championship today. I'm trying to find some stats.

He could be the power back we need if we get him next year.

Pettway is announcing December 19. Between OM and Bama. Power thinks it's Bama.

I won't be upset if he comes back like some will. I don't think it's always a bad thing to give someone a second chance, I'd venture to say that we've all made mistakes before that were inexcusable and have made the best of a second chance. I also think Pettway was hanging out with the wrong crowd, not leading it. Everyone in his clique has been processed. We need pass rushers and he is pretty damn good at that

I agree. He made a really dumb error in judgement. For all we know he's sorry for what he's done and wants to come back to Bama and try to make it right. I trust the staff with this stuff.

If you participate in jumping two different students on campus at night then I don't think you should be allowed back in that university much less on the football team. Getting in a fight on the strip is one thing. Preying on unsuspecting students is another. I'd feel the same way whether it was the starting QB or a non-athlete.

I'm with Sarc. Are we so desperate? Is no better prospect available?

I see both sides of the argument, but he isn't committed yet. I'll reserve judgement until it's clear he's coming.

I think it's Saban's way of trying to reach out to the kid and give him a second chance. I suppose it's similar to the second chance they talked about on sixty minutes where Saban loaned that guy money to get his life together after a ten year stay in prison.

I don't know what to think of this move yet.

Justice for his reinstatement would be for it to happen again and have the university taken to the cleaners by the plaintiff.

So we're playing Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. Big game Bob is on notice.

I saw in a 247 article that DJ Pettway was even more forward about where he wants to go. He said that, if given the chance, he would go back to UA, but it's not in his control.

Well we signed 4 CBs and 2 had grade issues. Im thinking they don't understand the defense. CJ had a longer time to understand the defense. Hold on he looks lost too. Nevermind.

Don't get it. Sit there and watched a "bama" fan cheer for AU last night. Just don't understand it. You can want them to win but as far as cheering for them I cant do it. Them winning helps us none at all.

We've had to rely on young players at CB. ANYTIME that happens, there are going to be problems. We're blaming Cyrus Jones when the root cause is actually Dixon being a bust and Fulton never developing into a contributor after 4 years.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure I've reached 100 posts of criticizing Cyrus Jones's play. I can't help but when I watch him play. He is the Jake Holland of this year's defense.

Saw on the SECrb that Brown's visit didn't go well at LSU. Someone said that they tried to discourage him from running track. I think we should get him and Marlon to visit together and sell them on doing both.
