Alabama had an open viewing period in practice today for the media. Heres some of the videos:

If Braxton seriously meant all the things he talked about in the 20 second clip I posted, I think he could make a leap this year.

Yeah he seemed to be pretty serious about it.
Also, Daniel Giddens came in second behind Sexton in the sprints most of the time at the end of practice (according to BOL). For him to be that big and fast, he should be a very good player for us.

I think he'll start. It looked like Armond was practicing well. It'll be interesting to see if he can get in the rotation. Right now I've got an eight man rotation like this

Lots of good stuff in there.
Avery said Herb has added 10 pounds of muscle already. Reese is a little overweight.
Dazon and AJ sat out the practice. Dazon apparently has an offseason routine where they pace him and let him sit some stuff out. AJ has an abdominal strain.
Said this year all of our wings can dribble, pass, and shoot.
Said Key has become a much better leader and learned a lot from the draft experience.
Lots of good stuff in there.

I get happy every time I see Sexton and Petty in a Bama uniform. I'm still shocked that we got both of them, but then again I'm not bc we have Avery Johnson as the coach now, not Anthony Grant.

only time I've ever seen a huge line outside Coleman 5 hours prior to gametime to get into the student section which was full hours before the game
That game lasted about 4 hours.
Dean kept fouling at the end. Rick Fox was a freshman. Remember Dickey V hitting about 14 straight foul shots before the teams came out for warm-ups before missing.

Maybe we can get him on an OV and lock him up. Like you said, them getting Perry might be good for us.

In the practice video, I saw Giddens can really get up and down the floor. He even had a catch and shoot three in transition.
We shouldn't have any problem playing faster and better on offense. The thing is can we keep the defense and rebounding from last year while doing that. Avery said that he was emphasizing perimeter defense in the video because it wasn't good enough a year ago.
